Great gun for the price!! Fun to shoot and accurate

I have a Savage 111 in .30-06, only had it a year or so and it's easily my favorite gun already. The trigger is great, Nikon scope that came on it is great, and it's accurate. Shot a pigeon out in the field with it last week.

I'd like to have a scoped .22, for shooting muskrats and snappers in the pond. If I see one of these for cheap I'll be all over it. Savage is easily the best value in guns. My 111 was half the price of a Rem 700, just as accurate, and I don't have to worry about it going off if I bump it, lol.

Hard to find .22 rounds, at least around here. I've only been able to collect a couple hundred rounds in the past year or so

I have a few bulk boxes of Rem .22. Thinking about getting rid of some of them.

Haven't seen any at wally world here in quite a while. All the stuff I see "on sale" online or elsewhere is way too over priced.

Find what? Who the heck is OPPO?

I've seen some decently priced stuff but they say it's on backorder for 6-8 weeks. I guess by the time i go shoot again it would be in but that wait just seems to kill me haha

Well that's a start. Unfortunately I'm still spoiled by Walmart and last time I bought any they were $17/$18 per brick. So I won't pay more than the $20 Walmart is selling them for now. Sold a couple to some friends for $20 as well.

So I finally got around to doing the diode mod to keep my factory "fogs" on with the high beams. Cleaned my headlights a little bit. Less than 20 hours and I'll be on my way to the keys for a couple days of getting burnt, diving, and hopefully some lobsters.

I hate that idea now I wouldn't be able to tell if the guy coming at me has theirs highs on or not. If a person is hauling a little load at night and you see fogs most times their on low beams, so you don't flash them. Now you wouldn't know, now we get the blind flashing game.

I like the pattern but I get flashed constantly anyway with my hids in my lows

Some people are crazy enough to throw stuff at you I keep mine pointed low.

The majority of my driving is at night. I don't run my factory fogs at night because they blind people. I got tired of being flashed. Also I've driven in front of my truck in another truck and the fogs threw the light into my eyes. So I don't use them at night. I actually consider them driving lights instead of fogs.

My Piaas have 55w bulbs in them and are aimed to fall just short of my low beams. They also come on with the key. Factory fogs throw out light to the sides more than the headlights do so I can see all the stupid deer hanging out.

I run mainly at night with fogs and lows but I don't drive in cities in on back roads sometimes I run the lightbar but never with on coming traffic

    • Based on what I can tell, yes.   As for updating it, its a mixed bag.  Updates do fix a lot of issues, but occasionally can create some oddities.  They do more good than harm though overall.     Here's what the most current one does and a  V171 Improvements Important: Improvements will vary by model, build configuration, system, and sales region. Not all vehicles have all features. • Looking for help troubleshooting a metallic like front end rattle. Figured I’d see if anyone had thoughts before I schedule an appointment with the dealer.   The rattle is fairly loud and occurs primarily when the front driver side wheel hits a bump, even fairly minor road seams. Sometimes does it when the passenger hits a bump but I don’t believe when the rear hits. Rattle still occurs when foot is pressing brake peddle so I think that rules out the caliper rattle I’ve read about. I’ve also checked the running boards and they are tight.   Most noticeable at slow speeds.    Any insight is appreciated.
    • We try to make cruise the coast. It’s where our favorite casino is. I only want to spectate. Never took a car. Always had one to take. I belonged to a club once. Even when I used to drag raced. It was during test and tune. Probably because I’m not a night owl, party person.
    • We had a pretty big cars and coffee in Indy this past weekend.  Pretty much anything and everything was there.
    • Good looking Olds, and TRX!   I haven't been into car shows either. I'm probably not a convert but I did push myself this year to attend a few select events to challenge some assumptions and try to experience car-based social clubs in a different way. I joined up with the local Hagerty group for some cars/coffee events, group drives. A month ago I showed my '94 Camaro I rescued last fall at Radwood. Had a good time, but, there was some sitting around with the car and that's the part of shows I don't enjoy as much. I prefer to be a spectator, walk the show, grab a burger, go home.   Radwood was the only era-limited event, but where it had strict model year limitations, it made it up in variety. Having Jason Camissa there was also a hoot.   Where I see old 50's car shows, doo-wop and winga dinga music stuff fading out, same with "only" vintage muscle clubs, it seems to be the activity-based clubs/events which are gaining strong popularity. Places where all cars and interests come together.
