Speaking of phones, I went to buy a Note 4 over on Verizon tonight. I backed out, and decided not to. Decided it'd be better to spend $300 on truck parts than a phone when mine is working fine. I'm getting sick of Verizon anyhow, and I'm not so sure I want to go back under a contract with them again...

I like at&t. I use them for home as well. I didn't get service at home with verizon. I am saving money on AT&T as well with 6 gb over my old verizon 2 gb plan. I also run 2 numbers on one phone

Oh last night i gave my brother 2nd degree burns with my clothing steamer. He asked how hot it was and he wanted me to put it on his chest. I gave him a minute to rethink and he still wanted to do it. I put it up against his chest and hit the button. He was still wearing a shirt when i did it

Was there alcohol involved?

Hahaha that reminds me of my first trip to Saudi Arabia. I was there with a service guy from Germany and we ate at a steakhouse where you cook your own steak on a 450C granite brick. After we ate, he touched it, I heard the sizzle and him exclaim "wow that's hot!"

Ya don't say?

Damn, it's just about 9 am. I think I may just work from home today. I dunno. Feeling lazy in these weeks leading up to Christmas.

Anyways, I'm kinda looking into picking up a few new parts for the truck before year's end. Probably going to get a Bakflip G2 cover, a light bar of some sort (LED), and I'm thinking of getting a set of FN BFD wheels. Also I'm debating on King vs Fox coilovers.

I came from AT&T when I went to Verizon. Their service was okay, but I couldn't get a signal out where my Wife lived at the time so that's why I switched.

I moved in February. I couldnt even send a text from my couch when i had verizon. Took me about 5 months of dealing with it before i switched. I went back and forth between AT&T and Verizon a couple times. Never had any of the others

Wow IDK if I could deal with that for 5 months. Verizon has the best service in our area followed by AT&T. Sprint, T-Mobil basically have no coverage here. I'm tired of these cell bills though, some of them that I see people have could be car payments they're so high. No problem with that if that's what your okay with, but I'm not. Thinking I might go to Straight Talk later on. I barely use 2GB of data per month, and they don't throttle you until 2.5GB so I shouldn't have to worry there. For $45 a month I'll take it.

Still working off of a 4 year old Droid4 by Motorola. Wish they still made these things or ones like this. The keyboard is essential for me. I can't type on screens worth dang :(

Got the iPhone 6 today. Really liking it. Bigger than the 5S but not stupidly big like my HTC from work.

    • I don't wanna do major surgery/upgrades, behind-the-dash work, add amps, change radio etc. on my '26 std cab WT. On the WT, it has the base 7" IOR infotainment setup, and only two speakers (doors). Since I listen to classical, looked around for speakers that do well and dug thru reviews. Two-way speakers were found to be better than 3-way. So I've ordered a pair of  Infinity Reference REF-9632IX 2 way speakers.  [These may  or may not have been discontinued / succeeded by the 3-way ...9633 ones.]    These speakers are lauded for 3 ohm and 94db sensitivity spec so they'll work well for ordinary base car radios without amps and offer better performance (quality,  strength) than  default base paper-cone speakers. They'll be installed in a few days and I'll let y'all know what I think. Bill W San Jose
    • Thanks!   Changed out the rear shocks today to Bilstein 5100s.  So far feel much better. The stock Rancho were wore out.  Lots of heavy hauling (2 moves, home renovations, etc).  Next up is new BFG tires Monday.  Cant wait the current tires have little to no wet traction and are super loud (hum)
    • Ok, I got the all the codes. What do you all think would be a place to start?
    • How about I just point to the factory pans stand pipe little drain plug and claim its a pan with a real drain plug !. I just couldn't swallow the fact that a Dorman pan which at this point is probably the only pan out there that fits the gas version truck cost that much up here in Canada so I decided initially anyway to skip it and see what I thought of pulling the pan method and down the road if I felt inclined enough then I would either install a drain plug kit in the factory pan if there is enough room for it, or have a bung welded onto it, or put an aftermarket pan on. The thing is if the pan is not pulled then the magnets in the pan can't be inspected and cleaned or if wanting to change out the filter. However of course it certainly would make the job easier to be able to drop the oil first before having to handle the pan if dropping the pan that go around was the goal.    I knew a guy locally that was doing custom field spraying years ago with a pickup pulling a ground driven sprayer, I believe it was a GM pickup with an automatic trans. He had a drain plug in his pan and would drop the oil out of it once a week and top it back up through the dipstick tube to keep refreshing a portion of the oil often and that made the transmission last far longer than had he done nothing. Soft fields pulling 500 gallons of water at the start of each mixed up sprayer tank batch and in low range sucking along. I imagine he got some tips from other custom sprayer outfits doing the same thing at the time and learning from their blown up tranny mistakes. Transmissions then had no lock up converter so would cook the crap out of the fluid slipping that much and it would not have been synthetic fluid either.
