Got a deal on am Xbox One S. (Want it for the 4k blu ray player, and it's WAY cheaper to get one on sale, sell my old one, than buy a stand alone player)

Don't need two Ones, anyone know if Amazon is still so wierd on trade ins? I traded a game that had a digital Manual and they returned it because there wasn't a manual.

I have 1TB Fallout 4 bundle, but I threw away the used code card for Fallout 3 long ago. They will give $186 is close to what I'll get on ebay after fees. Wondering if it's worth the risk, they ruined a used controller they returned to me (because I didn't have it in the original plastic!!!! Like I said, very wierd policies.)

Maybe Craigslist will come through for me.

If anyone here wants it say something.

How much was the Xbox One S? I'm trying to hold off until the new console comes out next year. Plus my TV is only 4K not 4K HDR like the newer ones.

You don't need the new xbox and you don't need 4k HDR.

Not really a matter of need but want. I like having the latest and greatest tech. But after some research it looks like the Xbox ONE S has a light bleed issue when playing UHD media. I'll keep waiting and probably grab a PS4 Pro before Christmas.

Just got back from a trip to ME for the weekend. Went to a foreign car show at the Owl's Head Transportation Museum. We took our '93 Volvo 940, and since Volvo was the marquee brand of the show, we got in free! Sweet!

Was a little of everything there - Mercedes, Aston-Martin, Jag, Porche, BMW. The museum consisted mostly of pre-1940's biplanes, Model T's, several brands long since dead (REO, Panhard & Levassor, Alco, Staver, etc.), several VERY early motorcycles, plus a huge steam engine, a couple cutaways of Pratt & Whitney piston-driven aircraft engines, A Stanley Steamer - wife & I spent 4 hours in the museum. Highly recommend the place to my fellow gear-heads who appreciate vintage iron. http://owlshead.org

Managed to see a '60 Corvette there, and a '74 Chrysler Cordoba - that was about it for American iron, aside from the Model T's they pulled out of the museum and drove around. I got to go for a ride in one for the first time in 40 years. My grandfather owned one. He was a Model T guru. He used to run ads in the back of Hemmings, and people from all over the world would send him distributors, and other parts to rebuild and restore. Wish he was still with us. What a wealth of knowledge about those cars he was!

Was amazing looking at the designs of the era. Just 50 years before most of the stuff was built, everyone used a horse and buggy. To go from that to these machines must've been amazing. Really put things into perspective. Just 60 years after the first automobile bounced down an unpaved cowpath, we put a man on the moon. Our creativity the past 60 years has really been stifled. Had we kept that pace going, automobiles would be making regular trips to the moon and beyond by now, no doubt about it.

Anyway, glad to be home - the traffic SUCKED. There isn't a stretch of I-95 I enjoy driving on from ME to FL. Any chance I got to make up time, I took it. :)

Spent so much time in the museum, the car show was GONE by the time we came out!

Then after that, somehow my wife convinced me that walking down a 3/4 mile long jetty was a good idea ... :noway::lol:

Can't believe the Pro Doesn't play UHD Blu rays. It's their own patent!

Thinking about keeping my old one as a workhorse and streaming device, and then let my kids have it when they are a little older. Threw the Halo 1-5 games in the CL ad to sweeten in just in case. I got an email offer to trade $1800 in Vape fluid. Yeah, that's not stolen....

If you want some entertainment, get on youtube and look up some of the independent gaming commentators. I ended up watching a bunch from people I haven't ever heard of before, and it's fun to watch, they are so involved in the industry, and they all just assumed the Pro would have one for obvious reasons. It's like they are reacting to someone telling them the sun is green.

And My old One sold BIN, and the guy didn't pay immediately. I don't understand that, its an extra dozen seconds online or in the app. At least tell the seller when you will pay.

I just checked, ebay decided to reset my preferences (it's been require immediate payment for years), and put the option in a sub menu in the app. If the guy doesn't respond tonight I'm cancelling it and relisting. I have had so many people that couldn't pay over the last few years(And I don't sell stuff there very often!),and they kept feeding false hope for a week or more(I lost my wallet, I incurred a sudden expense in the 5 minutes after the auction ended, I forgot I bid on it, let me secure money, blah blah blah), I have no hope for ebay buyers anymore, which is why I don't do auctions anymore unless it's a popular item.

Every time, except once, I've got screwed doing auctions. Reserve fees are too much, and the reserve normally discourages buyers anyway. I do BIN on everything now. Safer and so much easier. Buy it, or don't!

The one winner was this remote control for a winch I installed in my Sportsman 800. I figured I'd get $10 for it if I was lucky. Threw it on as an auction, and forgot about it for most of the week. Get up for work one morning and decided to check and see what it sold for. $70!! Guy in HI bought it. I couldn't believe it! If not for eBay, I probably would've thrown it away, or cannibalized it for wire.

Oh, almost forgot about the neighbor's rifle stock. Was a Thompson Cherokee. He was going to throw it away, and I offered to run an auction on it. Figured we'd get $10 for that too. That ended up going for almost $400!! We split the money, and were both VERY happy!

Any other time I tried to repeat those 2 sales, I got burned bad. Just never know what will go high, and what won't. Saw a guy get over $300 for a Honda XL350R cylinder head back in '08. Crazy. Probably less than $100 now.

    • I went through again with a test light and everything checked out.    I suppose it could be the MAF itself but I've tried 3 different sensors, 2 of which were in running vehicles previously (the one in this truck, and the one in the donor truck), as well as a new one I picked up from NAPA. I would just be surprised if all 3 were bad.   EDIT/UPDATE: I swapped in the MAP sensor that was originally with the 2010 PCM, that made the code for map sensor voltage high Go away, and the map sensor seems to read normal with key on engine off (14psi or so), but it still doesn't run and does the same thing as before.
    • In addition to a cell or wifi connection, the infotainment needs to be enabled to download software updates. That's a toggle within the system settings.   But...if the truck was prevented from receiving updates in a past life, missing a bunch of updates may mean it won't go back and download all of those because they're not available or the system is too far out of date.   If a formal recall depends on a software update, the recall for that truck remains in an open status until it's applied. The dealer would need to apply the software update in that instance.   Most updates downloaded and applied via the infotainment aren't recalls/safety recalls, they're enhancements and usability fixes which aren't critical.
    • Recently I've been getting a message, "New Brake Pads Detected. Reset Brake Pad Life?", But I haven't had the pads replaced and the truck only has 28,000 miles. The Brake Pad Life shows Front 64% and Rear 79%. I select NO to resetting the brake pad life and the message goes away but comes back at the nest restart.   I stopped by the dealer and was told that it sounds like a software glitch that would require reprogramming. Even though I have the extended warranty, they tell me that reprogramming is not covered unless a module was actually bad and needed to be replaced. Simply reprogramming is not covered. So, they want $200.00 just to diagnose the problem. If it turns out no bad module, another charge on top of that to do the reprogramming. If the cause was an actual bad module, everything would be covered under the warranty.   Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Should this issue be covered under the warranty?   Thanks
    • NHT is diesel only, correct.     The GVWRs for NHT on 3/4 ton bring them to the same numbers as many of the 2WD 1 tons.  A crew 4x4 standard 3/4 with NHT is 11,750lbs, a 1 ton same cab/box/4x4 is 12,100lbs.     Hubs and hub bearings are the same for 11.5" and 12" axles.  Housing, diff carrier and ring/pinion are larger for the 12".   All gas use the 11.5" axle, 3/4, 1 ton and 1 ton DRW.
