Not planning on it, they have even been back because they like it there. I am wondering now what kind of liability insurance they have. There was a long block, oddly shaped and was probably part of something, say about 36 inches long, a foot wide, leaning against a banister next to an indoor slide that is about 4 feet high, and the banister is maybe 18 inches high, in an indoor playset. The block was just leaning on the banister like a teeter totter. My son started laying on the block and teetering it a little, slowing bouncing. A second kid came up behind him when the block was teetering and grabbed the part by my son's feet and flipped it up and over the banister, along with my son head first. The whole thing happened in about 6 or so seconds.

So my Pekingese has been described when she is angry as "Demon Dog" by an in law and a neighbors yard guy said she "is the meanest dog I have ever seen in my 20 years of dealing with dogs"(she is extremely sweet to anyone she knows, but hates that yard guy, one neighbor, nearly all children, and ANY OTHER ANIMAL OF ANY TYPE). Well the neighbor she loves(he spoils her pretty bad) got a teacup Yorkie and she isn't too pleased with the super gentle mighty mouse. I go over to pet the pup through the fence every time I see her, while dog acts like she is going to eat it. Today, same thing, my 18 pounds of hellfire is trying to pull our fence down while I am petting the pup and the 1 pound pup just walks up and licks my dogs nose.

That's a S10 Blazer trait! Ball joints & tie rod ends yearly, along with brakes. Steering box is probably all worn out too, along with the pitman and idler arms. Do it all if you want decent steering.

 

I parted out a '00 Jimmy, and threw the engine (sans electronics) into my '89 S10 Blazer. The weekly check engine lights and electrical problems suddenly went away.

 

I actually still have that Jimmy ...

 

The steering is fine in town, but once its up to highway speeds and on a mild rough road it get real loose. Nothen is clunking or chattering and the co worker I bought it from has had it maintained by a mechanic all its life...the mechanic claims everything is good on it lol

A little rant from an old guy. I've been spoiled I guess, the last 10-15 years I've been dealing with the same dealership. My local GMC-Hyundai dealer, GMCs for me Hyundai cars for the wife. I do visit other dealerships to browse, the last two years I've been driving a Santa Fe the wife a Genesis for 7 years. We pretty much been through all their models from the Elantra on up, no complaints just looking for different. Pulled into the Honda dealership across the street. They had about 6 Accords discounted 10K, never saw that before even cheaper than a mid sized Hyundai. Ok I'll bite, let me know my trade value and lets go. So off he goes to the manager. I did even tell him yet how I was going to pay. I look good for my age but still look over 50, and not a car buying virgin. So back he comes with 4K down and over 1200 per month for 36 months. I look at him for a minute stand up and look around. Sale guy says what you looking for? I said the Mercedes emblem, I thought I was buying a Honda. He says we're just getting started I said no we're done, you took a 90 percent certainty to a no sale. I've bought a few vehicles in my day and never seen such an asinine approach in my life. I left out one important part the car I was looking at was hard loaded discounted to 34K

Nice - I'd have done the exact same thing! $1,200 a month for a friggin Honda?? I know it's a 3-year note, but still ... even after $4k down! Don't walk, RUN ...

 

Bought 2 vehicles in my life at a dealership - a '94 Honda CBR600F2, and my '07 Silverado. Won't be doing it ever again for a phonebook-sized list of reasons, unless there's a major shakeup in the auto industry. I won't be holding my breath for that one ...

Close out sale because the Accord has only a few weeks or months left before the new generation. If you want to know. And since the Accord TOPS out under 36k(my model), you were getting completely ripped off at 34k, if you were looking at a V6, that may have been the reason, Honda is dropping it in the 10th gen Accord in favor of the 300HP Type-R civic engine, but a lot of Honda guys are running to their dealer to get the underrated V6 while they still can. I got them down under 31k with one try. The big deal, though, considering the Hyundai and Kia top out even higher than the Accord, is resale. That was the big reason I went with the Honda. Right now, similarly optioned, the price difference is under 1k. Now go look at 3 year old models, same or similar options. The price difference is 6k between them. Another good thing is Honda branded warranties are DIRT cheap. I got a 8 year 100k bumper to bumper (everything the 3 year covers) for $900(less than a new LED headlight assembly).

 

 

That said we just bought our boys all new furniture. Ended up getting everything needed for the rest of their lives living here, so I don't have to do it again. Trick was they still want to be in the same room(works out, they have a dedicated toy room that way), so got full size bunk beds that can be separated into two beds. Solid wood because they are crazy little boys and would tear up the cheap stuff by accident. The saleswoman was like "wow you have really thought this out".

 

The fun part was the store guys getting it all to fit in my in-laws 800. But it did, two medium/large dressers, full size bunk beds, two full size foam mattresses, and a staircase dresser to climb onto the top bunk, could even close the tailgate.

The Honda was a V6 touring edition. The 4cylinder touring was 24K. I'm now looking at a Camry and VW Jetta, might try Malibu. After 4 Hyundais they appear to be proud of them. Doesn't justify their resale value.
