One thing to note on that CST lift is that it requires cutting of the crossmember, differential and drops the UCA's, so there is a lot more modification Involved versus a typical spindle lift like BDS. That might run you into some warranty problems, but I'm sure you could end up fighting them. I'm looking at that exact same lift - IMO, you made the right decision in terms of quality since You're not replacing spindles it will keep all angles exactly like stock. The diff drop and control arm drops measure out to exactly 4.5" also, so things stay flat. My truck is just out of warranty, so im pulling the trigger on that lift - If you decide you don't want it, let me know I'll buy it off you!

Here is my submission to this thread. Its my 2016 GMC All/Terrain 4x4 6.5" Zone with AAL, 35.4" Duratracs on stock 20" Denali wheels.

i might take you up on that offer.... I'm waiting to talk to someone higher up at the dealership for a solid answer. I'm now looking at a leveling kit for now that will work with the fox 2.5 coilovers I have and fox 2.0 rear shocks

Keep me posted, man! Did you have custom shocks made for the lift? If not, you don't need a leveling kit. You will be able to pump up those shocks 2 inches for a level look. Shoot over a PM and I can talk you through it. You might want to call AutoPlex out of Colorado also. They are putting on 6in Zone lifts for new trucks out here for all the dealerships. The dealer sells it as a new truck with all warranty included, so they might be able to give you some more information around that.

My biggest was the guarantee to cover your truck limited lifetime for the kit but also if the kit causes an issue that the dealer won't cover zone will. Also background zone is the sister company to bds. At close to half the price. This 6-800 diff is the no hassle full lifetime warranty that bds gives. So if you beat the shit out of your truck and break something intentionally bds will replace it no questions asked as zone will not. If there is a manufacturer fail point for the zone kit it will replace it.

 

Haven't heard rough country have any kind of warranty or guarantee like that.

 

Pro comp has a similar guarantee for the factory warranty but I do t think any kind of lifetime warranty on parts.

I'm seeing a lot of people choosing zone lifts over rough country. Any reason behind that?

No, and I'm pretty sure BDS needs welding too. It has to do with the Lower rear crossmember.

I haven't seen a rough country in a while but was a brand that never even thought about. There is a reason certain lifts are certified and they stand behind their products. Not bagging on RC but not a way I'm going. I pick my truck up in a couple hours. I'll post pics when I pick her up. I'm sure my tires are gonna be a bit small as I refused to get rid of tires with 65-70 tread to go to 35" at the moment. Kicking 33"s right now.

I just put the Zone 6.5 on my Sierra probably about a month ago. My dad and I did it ourselves and it was pretty simple. We were definitely nervous about the cutting and welding (we have a little suitcase welder but nothing serious) but it was all actually super easy. What you weld isn't structural and won't affect the structural integrity of the suspension at all, it's more like a cover. I think it says too in the directions if you can't weld it you can finish the install without it and get it welded in later on. Hope that helps.

The weld in plate is more for added rigidity than anything else, I think.

I'm guessing by looking at the kits instructions it doesn't widen the track at all, like a rough country "bracket" kit vs a knuckle lift which widens front track
