Finally got the zone 6.5 and 35s installed. couldn't be happier with the results. I havent changed the speedo yet (hypertech arriving on saturday) but according to google maps my normal drive to work is 29.9 miles but the truck tracked 27.8 miles. Anyone have an idea on speed difference at 65 mph?

I remember from my old lifted truck on 37s the truck was reading 3mph slower at 65mph.

also which kit 4.5 to 7in is the easiest to reverse (minimal cutting)?

"That 5" bracket kit will allow for 33" tires.

No you can not add a knuckle kit to it later for more lift without going to the knuckle kit suspension.

We do not have any active promo codes or sales at the moment."

Hey guys, I'm here as a noob... I've read up and down this thread and have gotten tons of info. I'm stuck between two kits. (Zone 6.5" lift or the RC 6" Lift)

I noticed with the Zone kit I cant re-use my factory 18" wheels and was wondering if there was a way around that besides getting new wheels. I have 33" BFG K02's (275/70r18) on them. If that helps with the issue...

Then it leaves me with the RC 6" lift kit that allows me to re-use the factory wheels. I'm curious as to how this lift will affect the ride. If I decide to go with this kit should I get the Premium N2.0 or the Performance 2.2 shocks? ( I do take my truck on trails just about every other weekend but nothing extreme)

Which do you all recommend?

Thanks in advance! Sorry for so many questions. This is my first truck. 2016 Silverado CC Z71 (oem ranchos)

You may not be able to reuse the stock wheels. I have the zone 4.5" and the "nun" on the uca rubbed on the inside of the tire with stock 20s. However I can attest to the quality of zone twice over

I appreciate your response. Thanks!

If I decided to get an aftermarket wheel what offset would I need If I went with 18" wheel?(if I went with the zone lift) Trying to reuse my bfg ko2 since they only have 2k on them. I'll go bigger later on.

the issue for me was the massive amount of positive backspace and the little nub on the stamped steel UCA

I have this kit. I have 275/65r20 which is basically 34 inçh. I am thinking i can get 35s on easily.

This kit requires alot of cutting. Cannot be reversed unless uou are good with a welder.

But it doesnt change yourstock stance which is why i did it.

I don't mind cutting something that can be put back in and welded.

I just want the option to go back to stock if needed be.

That shot down my 4.5 or 5in lift idea.

Going to shoot for 7-9 now.

Something that's true lift, keeps track width the same and can use factory 20s

I've read a bunch of these posts and talked to a bunch of shops. Monday I'm getting the zone 6.5" lift and keeping my stock 20" all terrain wheels. Everything I've read says it will work. They have said that one of the smaller wheels won't work. I was thinking it was the 18" wheels but not sure.

Everything I read said it would too, my ucas (stamped steel) rubbed the inside of the tire 305/55 with stock 20s. Zone was at a loss. I think it depends on the type of ucas

2014_gmc_1500_black_widow_by_southern_coI cant seem to post pics from my computer unless its to my profile, but this is my current set up just want to get 37's under it.

I'd leave the tires you have on there. 37s will kill you gas mileage

Funny cause they show a denali with the bracket lift with 295 60 20 on their YouTube channel. Last i checked those weren't 33s.

The 4.75 is just the 3.5" lift with an added body lify so just be aware of your labor cost when installing both a suspension AND a body lift.

    • So you're saying toss the baby out with the bathwater? @txab posted article was her take on how AI can be used to manipulate pricing as it already does and has been rebuked by the judiciasry in housing. How AI can be and is used to maximize refinery or even Amazon operations all of which are true but because she is who she is; that makes what she says about what is true, false? Is that something akin to Pre-justice aka prejudice?    Look, I'm first in line to approach all information with caution just because we live in a world where people like to lie about someone or something with such a straight face and in such volume that it makes digging to the truth wearisome. Meaning I understand the skepticisms but if I were to toss out everything a person is for a view they hold then my pool of people to draw wisdom from would be non-existent and I'd be forced to reinvent the wheel daily. Not practical.    "Be innocent as a dove but as cautious as a serpent."    Test each word. Every good lie is part truth or no one would believe it. Find the truth in it and reject what isn't.    On this one, AI is being used to do what has been done by hand for hundreds of years already but at such speed, the point of a computer, that it is more easily monetized. This one wasn't that hard a lift.    I wrote a few formulas in a Lotus 123 program decades ago, a series of linked Macros actually, that allowed a daily inventory to be turned into a running P&L and production plan. Something that took three departments a week to assemble now took the time it takes to input the 'daily changes' in inventory. Later that was ungraded to the more powerful Excel program an and integrated with bar code scanning, inventory to supply was done once per shift. It had a huge impact on production scheduling, Seamless interruption flexibility, inventory error reduction, raw materials cost effective utilization and scrap reduction. Huge improvement in the bottom line. I spent months on that and AI could have done it in minutes. So yes, it not only can be used, they would be foolish to not try. The legality, ethics and morality are not the domain of AI. Humans need to keep a reign on it.
    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
