Its about 82.5 to 83 to the top of the onstar antenna. Not sure about the car wash. Around here they don't like wide tires at the car wash... I'll try it tomorrow and see.

Hey man, I've got a 14 Sierra SLT and the dealership told me that I cannot have a third party install a suspension lift without voiding the warranty. Did you have the dealership install your lift or did you have a local shop do it? Did it void the warranty at all?

Look in to Magnuson moss warranty act. The lift itself is not under warranty but having a lift will not void your entire warranty. If a part fails... the dealership has to prove the aftermarket part caused the failure. It's still a risk and if something breaks you may have to yell a little louder but a good dealership shouldn't give you any trouble.

The only rubbing I have is on the drivers side when I turn in or back into a spot or driveway sharply on an incline like a steep drive or a hill but its very little and its on the black little cap on the bottom of the fender like where I guess the dealer puts mud flaps. Its so tiny of a rub im not gonna trim anything

The two dealers I deal with are very different. One holds very strong to not wanting to deal with any truck outside of the maintenance warranty if you have a any combination of lift components (whether it be body and/or suspension) that brings your truck a total of 4" higher. They blame any break on the lift or if you drop the truck. "Oh sir, the reason why your headlight went out is clearly because you lifted your truck 5" and put on bigger tires. The bulbs are just not meant to be at that height"

While the other dealer lets you do YOUR truck the way YOU WANT because it's YOUR truck and you are the reason why they are getting business. You can drop, raise, hell, you could strap wings on it. They still warranty any GM part.

Moral of the story is, you gotta find a good dealer. One that is realistic and wants the customer to be happy on the road and at the dealership.

Well I ordered my 7" lift cant wait to get it on and new tires now I have a 2.5" leveling kit to sell amd 295/60/20 tires nitto terra grapplers with about 10,000 miles on them

Changed out the 35 x 12.50 Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 tires for some 295/65 20 Toyo AT2 Xtremes. They are .5" taller than the pro comps, .5" narrower and 12lbs lighter. Noise and Ride is alot better as well. I also have some chrome center caps coming for the wheels to mix it up a little. If anyone is curious, dropping 12 lbs per tire comes out to 1.5mpg increase.

@cataylor..those look real nice and not so much like a car tire like some othe ATs look like. I may be swapping my dick cepeks as well. They are way more agressive tire than what is portrayed on site. There loud and balance worth a crap..like 14-16 oz bad.

Yea, I was worried I wouldn't like them at first just because they weren't MT tires. Once they got them mounted and pulled the truck out I was relieved. They look really good in person, plenty aggressive for what I do and they run so much better on the road. Worth the money IMO. My other tires still had a lot of life left in them even though they had 11K miles on them. Sold them for 1K and recouped some of the cost of the new tires.

Rotten, your set up looks perfect! My BDS four inch should be here on Tuesday. Still on the fence as far as wheels go. Are yours 20x9 or 20x10? Do you know what your offset is? That info would streamline my decision. Thanks.

Is your front wheel sticking out further than the rear?

The geometry of a spindle style lift, pushes the front hubs out a bit.

    • Did you ever get this worked out? Mike is doing the two start thing now too. This is after a new camera back in December.
    • I’m doing an experiment on a vehicle I don’t have much money in. I’m going by the premise that after they last 100K miles they were no mechanical problems with assembly. Or defects with the parts. With oil changes by the minder for the first 127K miles when I acquired it. I quickly went through low mileage oil changes then settled on 5k oil changes with close to 170K miles on the vehicle currently. I did have the option to turn off the cylinder deactivation. I didn’t on this vehicle because it’s in ECONOMY mode at least half the time. It should be a no brainer frequent oil changes are the key. The manufacturer gets away with the long oil changes with its severe service  maintenance. Just ask them what is normal.
    • Even set to "recirculated", the air pushes out and is hot. I have noticed that sometime it doesn't want to switch between recirculated/vented air. Say it is set to Circulated Air and I want to switch to Vented, when I click the Vented button, it just quickly lights up/clicks and immediatly switches back to Circulated. It's done this a few times now. So maybe it is an actuator getting stuck? But then, that doesn't explain the hot air when everything is off does it?
    • I wonder what the price is out at the coast, Big Sur or other out of the way locations as I bet they are charging quite a premium over the in land pumps.
    • Were you looking at the HD trucks on the GM website or the half tons as that makes all the difference. As far as I know there are only two options for the HD trucks and that is the standard 2 speed transfer case or the 2 speed transfer case that has the added 4 high auto feature and they put that transfer case by default into the LTZ and High Country although its optional in the LT and not sure if its available in the work trucks.    The half tons, that is where its been a total mess in my estimation for a few years now with most trucks below the top trim having the single speed transfer case as standard but with the option of having the two speed such as one would get by choosing the Z71 package, however then not being able to get the two speed transfer case with the towing package unless it was a higher trim truck AND had the 6.2 gas so one could combine the towing package gearing diffs with the two speed transfer case. Having said that if its a trail boss package then it gets the two speed transfer case but not necessarily able to get the tow package as it would depend on trim level and engine chosen. Believe me, people have bought the GM half tons assuming "of course it will have a two speed transfer case" only to find out after when they really pay attention to what they now own .... crap, there is NO low range !.    I don't believe Ford or Ram have gone that way yet with their half tons but like I say its been a few years now that GM has done this with the half tons.
