2014 at the County Fair

I looked at a bunch of 2014's (GMC) up close today at Sewell. The Z71's I looked at had 3.42's and the V6, lame. $45k for that setup, jeeze. Finish is pretty nice. I looked at the flares and they seemed to be very secure. The underbody coating looks glossier than the 900's, maybe it's just me.

MSRP is one thing... rebates (out the door price) is another thing. You will see the 2013 rebates go way up in the coming months..

Absolutely. But GM raising MSRP on 2013s so they could claim minimal change in price for the new model is a bit dirty, though I'm sure they all do that.

Mike not to disagree but doesn't Gm have a 2-3% price increase 3-4 times a year? That has always been my understanding anyways.

They increased the prices on 2013s. My dealer has a LT regular cab 2013 that isn't even all that well optioned for an MSRP of $37k. With add-ons from the dealer the price is over $38,000!

I have built a couple online, but with the extra technology(switch for damn cargo light), such as seat vibrators(ha), front parking sensor(why no camera), new infotainment screens, and factory bed caps, I don't feel that the price hike is very bad. Seems inline, not a complete ripoff.

 

Surprised all the research that had to have been done did not yield any better standard and optional equipment though. Chrome handles and trim instead of paint. No factory deployable running boards. GMC got the better looking wheels. Completely square wheel wells. Step bars that look like something a trucker removed from an 18 wheeler. What happened to the radio that was supposed to mirror your phones screen, or did I not read that and just made it up. Actual all terrain tires on 4x4s. Getting the Z71 and actually having it say Z71 4x4 as every other previous version did. AC vents in back seats. Redirected cooled seat vents. More rear seat leg room.

 

I could go on for a while, but I will stop. I hope some GM representative reads this or has heard this already. Take note young Palawan.

I finally saw one in person today at the local dealership. Wayyyy nicer in person than online. Don't like how low they sit though, even though its a GM thing. Definitely looks like an HD truck now

 

Reason I was at dealer was dropping off my dads 09. Now he's wondering if he can trade his in for the new 2014 haha. Came with a lot off goodies and the new ecotec3 5.3L all for about 43k

The price tag of the new ones totally turns me off to even looking at them anymore. My Dealer probably had about 8 or 10 of them the other day when I went to pick up my Wife's car, but when I thought about looking one over up close, and maybe taking a test drive I remembered the price tag of other ones I have seen and I decided to just drive by them.

Maybe they are using this opportunity to jack the prices to what us Canadians pay. $50,000 would be a bargain for us on one of these loaded trucks. The sticker won't come down in a year but the dealer price will. Just like the current trucks did, plus they will have end of year deals next year at this time........hoping anyway! haha
