I'm going crazy...help?

So...took the AT in today for the airbag recall. Of course with a truck this new I'm paranoid something wasn't put back right. This is probably something I just never noticed but is the steering wheel off center with the gauge cluster? What I mean is the M in GMC on the wheel isn't centered with the gauges. Call me crazy...

It's supposed to be that way. Likely to accommodate the controls & vent to the left.

Thanks MotoMedic...so to clarify. Yes, I am crazy (I was also SMH at myself), but the steering wheel is slightly left of the gauge cluster's center.

I never heard of any steering wheel being off center on purpose with a properly aligned vehicle. Is this some special case or something? When they replace the air bag, they must pull the steering wheel. It is easy to reinstall the wheel incorrectly on the splined shaft.

Not off level, but actually shifted. Meaning when sitting centered in the seat the center of the wheel emblem is not aligned with the center of the gauges. It is off to the left about an inch. From what I gather this is normal and fine. I just have never noticed it.

Hello,

I do not believe that you are going crazy. Sometimes when you think something is off it because it is off. Were you able to discuss your concern with the dealership? Is there anything I may assist you with?

Stopped by the dealership today and they said all is in spec. I did verify that the steering column was not dropped to handle the recall. I say in another '14 and, while it was maybe a bit more centered than mine I do think it was not perfectly centered either. The service writer said it would be very difficult to bend anything with the column. Everything seems to work okay so I think I'll drop it for now.

A LOT of vehicles today have the steering wheel off center a bit. Most people just never notice it. You can stop worrying about it now....it is COMPLETELY NORMAL;)
