2014+ Leveling Kits

Hey guys, question about wheel and tire fit. I've got a '14 Silverado double cab w/ max trailering pckg, 4x4. I have the RC 2" Level installed, and am wanting to order rims and tires. My main concern is wheel offset. From what I've read throughout the thread, I should be able to run 275/65/20 with minor rubbing, how big of a concern is wheel offset? I'm looking at a variety of different rims ranging from -0- to 35 offset.

 

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

 

Will post better quality pictures later next week once I get my wheel/tire dilemma solved.

Anyone with the RC 2.5 kit doing alignments after the install? Im hopefully going to install mine soon, just wanted to know if i needed to schedule a apt to get a alignment done.

I was told that you have to do an alignment because you're changing the geometry of the truck.

If you want your steering wheel to be straight and not wear out your tires in a couple hundred miles, yes you need an alignment, with any leveling kit.

Just pulled the trigger on a 2.5 RC leveling kit. Hopefully will have in on in a couple of weeks.

I have the 2.5" Rough Country coming in the mail this week. Trying to decide on tires now. I was pretty set on 275/65/20 Toyo MTs for a while, but am starting to look at other options now. The Toyo RT and BFG KO2 are catching my eye. The KO2 comes in a 285/65/20. Not sure if it would fit. It says it is about 34.5" tall.

The Toyo M/T 275/65/20 is 34.5x11.0

The KO2 285/65/20 is 34.5x11.5 I believe.

Many have said that the 275/65/20 will fit with just the smallest of rubbing which is easily trimmed or pulled away to prevent it. The 285/65 would probably fit, just most likely cause more rubbing.

That being said I am in the same spot as you are. I looked and found that the 275/65/20 was perfect for me in the nitto trail grappler, but then I started to think of different options. Let me know what you decide, and also post pics.

I believe the 275/65/20 Toyo MTs are closer to 34.1". The weight of the Toyo MTs is also a drawback for me.

 

The Nitto Trail Grappler looks good, but I don't think they last as long as other tires.

I just got some BFG KO2's in a 275/70/18 and love them so far. They're a 33.2" tall tire i believe and I have the 2" RC level with no issues whatsoever.

I think I'm going to try the toyo rt's once I have the level installed.

Wanting a leveling kit for my 2015 and didn't know what I should go with 2" or 2.5". Also with a 2.5" do you have to go with blocks in the back and if so would it void your warranty?

Just installed a 2" Motofab level. Loving it so far, gets an alignment tomorrow morning.
