It's going to be a daily driver as well, only pulling a trailer on some weekends. Just looking to level it for the rest of the time

 

Just one of the many reasons a set of airbags is a good addition for anybody who ever hauls anything heavy with these trucks. You don't need to drive around with 3" of rake all the time just so it'll be level when towing.

So i put my RC 2" level kit and Toyo 295/55/20's on this weekend. Install was simple, just like on my 2011. It definitely helps to have an extra set of hands when wedging that spacer in there. 295/

Mine is finally done! After months of research I went with the RC 2.5" level kit front only, stock rear block. 20"x9" Fuel Nutz w/ +1 offset, 33x12.50x20 Toyo M/T tires. No rubbing, No trimming, yet a

2015 Z71 4X4 SLT Sierra

 

RC 2.5" leveling kit with the under the coilover spacer installed.

 

Still on the stock Goodyear SRAs.

 

I plan on installing the spacer for the top of the coilover and replacing the factory rear block with the block included with this kit before I make a decision on the tires.

 

275/65-20 or 305/55-20 BFG KO2s?

 

I like the height of the 275 and the width of the 305, unfortunately the BFG KO2 doesn't produce the size I would like in a 295/60-20.

 

I drive 55 miles one way to work.

Truck looks great! For that kinda driving stick with a 275/60/20 and make sure its a P rated tire not L. Save some gas.

That's a typo. It should read 275/65-20.

I have same truck as Robvas and put airbags and compressor on works great pulling trailer or loaded truck

does RC make a body lift for our trucks, I looked but couldn't find it on their sight. I was thinking about doing the 2.5 RC level with a 1.5 in BL to run 305/70/18 or 285/75/18 on stock rims, any opinions on this setup as far as rubbing, thanks

If you're driving over 100 miles every day, then I'd go with a more conservative tire size. Something like a 285/55/20 or 275/60/20 will give you a better stance than stock without killing your MPG and driving manners.

Stopped by a local shop today to price a leveling kit and was told $400 + $100 for alignment. Is that the going rate? Sounds high to me.

It is either high or low depending on what you are buying and where you are getting it installed. For $500 (cdn) I can get a 2.25" Ready Lift kit installed and aligned at my dealership. I suggest shopping around as I have found a $200 price spread on basically the same work

Question: I just received these today 20x9 with 0 offset 33/12.50 tires, and I don't get my RC2.5 level kit installed until Monday. This Friday I have an appointment at the dealership to have them road force balanced, and was wondering if I could get by the weekend with having the dealer throw them on for me. Would just be a little in town driving, and currently I have 22x9 +15 offset 305/45/22 tires and don't rub. Thanks

      Only TAN I have for the product was at 5K in service miles and it was 2.71

      If anyone lands here looking for an update - the problem wasnt with the hose, the clamp, etc... I purchased a metal Thermostat housing that just must not of been made to spec. It just wouldn't plug up the hose.. Went back to a plastic cheap housing - leak fixed. Some plumbers tape carefully placed in tandem with a clamp likely would've gotten the job done.   Best,

      For anyone following, this is what I have deduced from this forum - and my very specific niche case. Please do let me know if you see me going in the wrong direction here. For context, I have a 16 sierra 1500 w/t. Has TC and Cargo light switches. Removed the switch to find the X1 and X2 of the S48A connection populated with wires (x1 10-14, and x2 1-5).   Took photos of the X61A-X5 to find the wires from S48A-X1 land here at their respective pins (10, 11, 17, 23 on the X5). Was hopeful that this means my X51A fuse box has the appropriate pins... No cigar. So now I will be routing wires from the rear of the X61A-X1 to the engine bay and to their respective negative relay triggers. Please see to the diagram. If any has insight as to where the S48A-X2 pins 4 and 5 land that would be awesome.   Note: please disregard fuse sizes. Main fuse will like be 25A, all mini bus fuses will likely be 10-15A   Cheers

      287,500 Mile Service   8/13/2026   Reset Fuel Trims   Since the work done in the previous post there was a good improvement in response in all areas except right after a fill up where the LTFT would go -20%+ for about four miles while the STFT was near neutral. Before the work they both went very negative for a few miles after a fill up but act normal thereafter.    We did a systems check of the vapor recovery system for functionality and ability to hold a vacuum. That checked out fine. But this doesn't mean the charcoal canister is dead in the water. Testing that is next up. For now the reset of the fuel trims.    I intentionally shorted the fill exactly two gallons to eliminate any chance of filling the canister. On start up the trims were behaving normally until I got up and rolling where the LTFT went -10 / -11%% but the short was + 2 to 0%. Within a mile the the STFT offset the LTFT and by 2 miles they were neutral. HUGE improvement but still not hunky-dory.    I'll watch them for a few days. Perhaps another tank where I will fill completely to 'first click' and compare. Meanwhile on the hunt for a new canister and I'll toss another purge value at it for good measure. Pending the outcome of the canister test that is. Progress of any kind is welcome.    Fuel economy improvement with bringing hole #3 back to the living was a noticeable bump to the positive. Even on the few miles I drove after the refill I already see another bump up by the trims reset.     She's purring like a kitten with a warm bowl of milk.    BTW, adding 50 rpm to the idle took the majority of the negative timing out on cold start up and leaned the cold idle. No longer burbles in the cat. What a dumb way to heat a cat.
