draheimz71 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I'm pretty sure those are going to rub like crazy. That negative offset is going to be the issue. The rubbing I presume can be handled by trimming the interior wheel well? Or is the offset way too much, if so what is the maximum offset/wheel width we can run with just a 2.5 inch level?
fondupot Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 If you don't want any rubbing at all, I'd say either a 285/55/20, 305/50/20, or a 275/60/20. Thanks! 1
5RWill Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) 285/55/20 is 33x11.5x20 mickey thompson ATZ P3s come in this size and can be found for around 250$ a tire. I'm thinking of running a set until i can get my rims. Nitto Also makes Trail grapplers in that size. Edited April 24, 2015 by 5RWill

I'm not sure what the maximum offset is for just a 2.5" level. IIRC, it needs to be 0 or higher (+). You might want to ask member baggedlvintegra as I know he's had a lot of different wheels and currently has 22x12s that are rubbing right now.
hogwash Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 20x10s with 33x12.50x20 rub with a 2.5" level. The 12s are gonna stick out almost 2 inches farther and they'll be inward close to another centimeter as well. So yeah, you're gonna rub like hell. I've seen people get by with a 4 inch lift and 12s with 31s. But you'll be cutting a lot of metal with just the 2.5. Bagged said that his 5" total lift eliminated the rubbing on his 12 wide equivalent setup.
marshall1225 Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Here we go... 2.25" Pro Comp level kit 20x9 Fuel Maverick w/ +20 offset 295/55/20 Toyo Open Country AT2 I like your wheel well trim. Is that stock if not where did you get it?
EZ Money Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Nitto is a niche company under Toyo still. Same rubber fellas. Thats why both tire brands are so awesome. I don't think they are the same company anymore. I know about 10 years ago they were, but I think they split. Tread patterns used to be identical, but not anymore. I accidentally ran a set of Tera Grapplers on my last truck and I ran through them in about 30K, where-as the Open Country's I ran before lasted close to 50K. I like your wheel well trim. Is that stock if not where did you get it? The fender trim is stock on the '15 GMC. You can opt for painted trim if you want...
cnet24 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Some great info in this thread, I've spent an hour researching for a kit to go on my 2014 Chevy. Anyone have a pic with a 2-2.5" Rough Country kit with Duratrac tires on stock 18's? Specifically on a 2014 Chevy or whatever else is out there. Also, what is a fair price to have this installed? I know it's cheaper to do by yourself but don't have the resources to get it done. Thanks!
Daly Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 It's not a RC kit and about 2 3/8" lift, but it's Duratracs on the stock 18's…
cnet24 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Daly that's a good looking setup- thanks for the pic! How's the performance been with this setup?
Daly Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 It's been good, very happy with the Duratracs in the winter. My only complaint ti at highway speeds the Duratracs cause a bit of vibration… I have BFG KO2's going on soon for the summer…
nadrojcote Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Does anyone have a leveled sierra with 305/40r22's? I'm trying to decide if they will look too small. I'm thinking of some cooper zeon ltz's, but if they're too small I may go with 305/45r22 Dynapro ATM's.

It will just be 12" wide

I have seen the 03-13 trucks with them on fairly aggressive road tires. Like soft compound for grip in 305/40R22 and 305/50R20. Didnt look bad on those. If youre leveled go for the 305/45
