Has anyone had any high pitched "squeak" sounds when going over bumps after installing the 2.5" RC level? It started happening after the first oil change at the dealership. It's a strange sound but it happens when I hit bumps on the road, sounds like it's coming from the passenger's side.

So i put my RC 2" level kit and Toyo 295/55/20's on this weekend. Install was simple, just like on my 2011. It definitely helps to have an extra set of hands when wedging that spacer in there. 295/

If you think it's coming from the level kit take off the tire, loosen and then retighten everything. Check the spacers on top and bottom of the strut.

 

Edit: make sure your lower spacer bolt isn't hitting the CV shaft.

Some kits have a 2" spacer for the top and some have a 2" for the bottom. Witch method would put less stress on the ball joints?

I have an appointment at 4 wheel parts to have the Pro-Comp 2.25 " leveling kit installed. Both spring and strut spacers, alignment and labor for 465.00 OTD.

 

Is that a decent deal or a hold-up?

most leveling kits will run about 200 bucks and another 70-90 for an alignment so spending another 180-200 on install isn't to bad if you don't want to do it yourself, takes 2-3 hours to put it in

This store itemized it as 180.00 for the Pro Comp kit (it's 145.00 w shipping on Amazon). 150.00 for alignment and 100.00 for labor. Add tax and it's 465.00, plus they are a VERY reputable shop here, so if I need service, I expect they will take care of it.

I installed mine in the garage last weekend. I'm definitely not a mechanic but I like to work on stuff. I have a decent set of tools. The most involved project I've ever done to a vehicle is pads and rotors. That being said, I probably wouldn't do it again.

Austingta. That's exactly what I had done. I paid about that amount up here in Canada. It sure makes the truck look nice. I had some people ask me if it was a 3/4 ton, it looked so good.

I currently have a 4" suspension and 1.5" body lift and am rolling on 35's. My question is. Can I ditch the 4" lift and replace it with the Rough Country 2.5" leveling kit and still use my 35's till they wear out?

35x12.5x20's(18)? what wheel size and offset? What tire specifically as 35's can be 34.5 and up. I'm mostly curious myself as I plan on the 2.5 RC and 1.5 body lift. But this info will be needed for determination.

As TexasHusker stated the exact tire/wheel info will be a huge determining factor. I plan to go with 35's or really big 34's on my stock 18" z71 wheels with the lift set up you are wanting.

 

What kind of 4" do you have and why don't you want it anymore? Message me if your going to sell it

So those are 34.9" x 12.2" Do they bulge out a little being on a 9" rim? That info should give some more knowledgeable people some idea if they'll fit. I'm pulling for you though as I'd like to run some 35's on your intended setup.

I looked and no they do not look to bad for being a 12.2 in tire on a 9 in rim.

Nice work. I also used an aluminum spacer kit from ebay for my level. Installed and had alignment done. Be sure you don't skip the alignment.

      Because single shot injectors are ancient and multi hole injectors provide smoother running engines and sharper throttle response due to the fuel being atomized better..the best lead I have is a 24lb blue top injector almost everything matches up but the injector will put out about 26lb/hr which is just outside the gm threshold.figured id ask here to see if there was an absolute answer

      Why is my question?   Any change in injectors requires a tune. Unless you are going back with the OEM part number or a newer part number of that same injector.   Any size difference or type difference like the EV6 style injectors all have different injector data for them. And there is no EV6 injector that matches the factory 25 lb/hr size that your truck comes with. I've been messing with these trucks and tuning them for a long time and what you trying to do doesn't exactly make sense to me.

      My 6.6 gas lt8 had lifter noise with 28000 miles bought new 2026 and while driven to dealer it threw #1 rod bearing “HD my ass” good luck with yours i hope it don’t turn a rod bearing!

      Thought it was raining this morning when we woke. Nope. Dew point was over 80 F and humidity 98%. Zero visibility distance. Everything was 'sweating'. I've seen rain come out of clouds but never out of Pepper or the tree trunks.    Wicked storms just missed us sliding off to the east but by blocks. Heat index about 110 F with air temp in the 90's.    This is  our third wave this month of multiple days of this type of weather. And yet the grass is going dormant and the ground is cracking this side of the street and water up the the hood opposite. Just weird stuff going on.
