My toilet broke. Made the mistake of using a cheap bolt kit from Walmart a few years ago and broke the tank trying to loosen it.

So now in the market. Any recommendations?

I could care less about conservation, I want the crap to go away, lol.

If anyone has a consumer reports sub and can give me a few names off their recent test, TIA.

I have never had an issue with Kohler toilets. I preferred my old Kohlers to my current AM STD

American Standard Cadet 3

American Standard Champion 4

Both are excellent flushers and are available at lowes, HD. Get the elongated bowl if you can.

Kohler has good choices as well. Cimarron is one

Look at Toto, parents had one and they are really nice

Import one of those crazy Japanese ones that looks like something from a sci-fi movie.

Get the tall one I am not sure of which name brand I have but it is much taller than most other toliets. It is about 20 inches tall, and get the elongated one. :jester:

Make sure its glazed all the way down. Helps with the flushing. Also elongated bowls are nicer if you have the room.

I plan to get a Kohler elongated bowl with the Flushmate pressure assisted system for the master bath. Love them turbo toilets to death, baby!

For Twenty more than the cadet I bought this:

http://m.lowes.com/product?langId=-1&storeId=10702&catalogId=10051&productId=3306730&store=1536&view=detail&nValue=4294737213

The review of the office building is what sold me. His employees would constantly clog the old one, and he hasn't had one after the first two months at the time he wrote it

Push button with two modes 1 gallon or 1.6 which pushes more water than the cadet.

Works great! Install didn't take long at all. I wasted some time figuring out the included wax seal(didn't appear to be the correct size). Used a waxless sani-seal I bought instead.

The version I got was the Clean Cadet 3 which the difference I think is the bowl has built in microbial stuff so the bowl won't get build up or stain.
