Yes Ryan it's polycarbonate. I don't anticipate any issues considering where it's mounted but we'll have to see how it holds up.

PS Did you notice...there's a little oil in it already! That was after install and 104miles of hwy driving just yesterday.

Ryan, Since you have both the RX & Elite cans you know the pros & cons of both designs....if you bought another which way would you go?

I stumbled across the version that Phastek is selling as well..... http://www.phastekperformance.com/2010-2013-Camaro-Oil-Billet-Catch-Can-BC-175-p/bc-camaro-zl1-catch-can-175.htm What are your thoughts on this one based on your expertise?

I've had both the Elite and RX as well. Both are good designs, I like that the Elite can unscrews so you can dump the oil out. I would give it the edge over that slight reason.

I don't have an elite, I have an RX and mike norris. I do t have a problem with either I like the RX because it's painted to match the car (AGM). I prefer the mike norris because his shop is like 7 miles away and he is a very knowledgable guy.

Thanks TJay!

Sorry Ryan, Somehow I had it in my head you had an Elite.

Decisions, decisions......

I like how the Elite unscrews and you don't need to fiddle with a petcock or ball valve while dangling a cup to catch the oil.

Are there advantages with the ports being top & side vs side/side porting on the can?

Install went flawless, just a few things I am going to tweak during the beta testing. Hoses are real loud and actually collapse from round to oval when the engines running so I want to find something stronger than the standard Goodyear Fuel hose. Also going to change all clamps (even though from how snug the hose is, clamps i don't think are needed) to pinch clamps instead of screw due to ease. Going to clean up the hose lengths and bends as well for a cleaner look. Has anyone else noticed how loud the gases flowing through the hoses are on your cans? Also, when i open the drain valves, HOLY VACUUM - I have no clue the suction was that intense!

Also, thanks for all the messages. After testing is complete (hopefully January) I will do a full write up and talk with Mr. Saikou about pricing and final model details.

Looks good. I have never seen a dual can setup like that. As for noise I haven't heard anything different with my RX can compared to before I installed it.

Are you planning on running a hose for the drain? Looks like it would be tricky to get a cup underneath the drain valves unless the cans were mounted higher.

thanks, yea there is a drain kit that i still need to install but there is actually a good amount of room down there to put like a good quarter to half cut water bottle as a catch when draining so i might not add the kit.

The reasoning behind the duel setup was i did a bunch of research and found that all the skeptics were taking the best cans and running second cans after the first to prove the first one was not as efficient as they claimed to be. most second cans were catching about a fifth of the first can. i thought, screw it - go big or go home! and did two back to back cans from one of the best manufacturers in the market to make those people happy haha.

If the hose from the intake is collapsing then the setup is very restrictive to the flow that the system normally does. Might just need to use a large tube for the cross over or something.
