Nice! That's pretty much the interior setup I think I will go with when it's my time.

What state are you in? Snow/salty roads a concern with those amp steps?

I live in NH, lots of snow lots of ice and lots of salt haha. They have a safety that stops them if they hit resistance so hopefully not, but they come with a 5 year warrantee so I think I'll be okay. But they are a wicked pain in ass to install just a warning.

My installer said that the use of mud flaps helps a lot because the snow/ice buildup stays in the wheel well rather than under the front door.

He did say out of the hundreds of AMP installations that he has done, he has only had one failure due to ice build-up. It was on a lifted Jeep with huge tires and no mud flaps... the guy was an off-roader and he was told that the AMP's would not be recommended for his vehicle... he proceeded anyway and the motor on the driver's side bound up and failed the first winter.

It's just common sense to me that if you're in conditions where large amounts of ice buildup are a problem, go with fixed running boards rather than power.

I'm in NH as well. Ya, I've heard mixed reviews so instead of dripping $1000+ and having them fail, I like to heat from everyone. In realise they have a warranty but the goal would be to never have to use it!
