So I got this bad boys in today;

I was wanting to get the complete Corsa cat-back. but $1k for a catback was very steep, and I don't want to invest too much money in my truck. So I plan on getting these welded on along with removing the resonator, valve, and installing either an 18" or 14" Magnaflow. I saw both videos Luster posted of his 22" and then 14" and they both sound good. I think the 14" might be a bit too loud for me and a guy a few pages back did a video for the 18" and really liked how that sounded.

Wow! I should have sprung for the extra $52. Nice tips. (don't say that to a woman.)

haha, I swung by my local muffler shop today after work and they are bringing in a 18" Magnaflow muffler in tomorrow. If I get out of work early enough tomorrow they will knock it out then. If not I already scheduled to be there first thing Saturday morning. I'll make sure and post pictures and videos of it then.

Are u going duals or just replacing the muffler?

I'll be doing a similar setup to Lusters; removing the existing muffler and resonator along with the valve that sits right behind the muffler. Then installing the 18" muffler and having them weld on the Corsa tip. So it'll be a single side exit exhaust.

Can anyone on here recommend a good shop in the southern wv area? I've had a lot of work done on previous trucks, but it was all done a few hours north of here before I moved. I'd rather drive a few miles than a few hours lol.

I did the same, and will be cutting the resonator out this weekend. It is a tad deeper inside the cab but virtually silent outside. I wound up leaving the flapper in just in case I had drone and had to close it.

Just installed a Flowmaster 40 Series with dual tips and single side exit on a 2015 6.2l Denali

Did you get rid of your resonator?

-SkeetGuess you will have to do what I did and go online for muffler and exhaust shops . A good one may have web site showing their work. Maybe contact a dealer or mechanic

So finally got my exhaust done. Went with an 18" Magnaflow Muffler, removed resonator, and valve. Sounds great and those Corsa tips are a beauty.

All work was done at Bill the Muffler King in Dallas, Tx. Fantastic worksmanship and quality. I'll post videos tomorrow once I wash it.

Clamped the valve open and it sounds much better at idle. I am going to see if it changes anything at speed and if not then I will dump it at the axle.

I have a question for members here who have modified their OEM exhaust, and installed duals...

Do the 2014 K1500 (GMC or Chevy) trucks include factory frame bracket points on the left side for installing and hanging left side dual exhaust piping?

I am considering the installation of dual exhaust but don't want to if I have to use aftermarket type universal hangers.
