After I looked again at your setup I believe I seen that "bypass" stuff before... Isn't it there to help with the drone in-cab?

I built a cat back dual out exhaust with a dynamox vt muffler. Absolutely no drone when cruising. There is definitely a different tone in v4. At idle has a nice tone and sounds throaty when you get on it which is what I was looking for.

My last two trucks a had gibson.

But my 2010 all terrain had significant drone with gibson

Which I replaced with dynamic kit when the gibson rotted out. The dynamox was better. Which gave me the idea to build one with vt muffler. So far I am liking it.

I figured i'd share my experience with my purchase of the DynoMax cat-back system on my truck. First off, I forgot to take pictures during install. However, it was very straight forward. I'm planning on taking some pictures of it installed and a video

.

Personally, i wasn't going to spend $1,000 on a Corsa system, although i know they are a very high quality product. I'd been searching around for a stainless, cat-back, single exit system. I was almost set on buying an AFE system until i found the DynoMax system. I paid $290 for it shipped to my door from Jegs! http://www.jegs.com/i/Dynomax/289/39529/10002/-1

All i wanted to was to ditch my factor muffler and resonator, get a better sound, and have a more free flowing exhaust. For the price, i thought it was a steal for a stainless system.

On to the install. Honestly, the hardest part was wiggling the stock system out, as i didn't want to cut it. I had the rear axle on jack stands to give myself more room under the truck. A buddy and I moved the system rearward to get the front of the exhaust cleared from the cross member and down on the ground. I discovered i didn't have enough room between the top of the axle and the frame cross member. With the truck still on jack stands, we lifted the trailer hitch to take the weight off the suspension, which gave me enough room to wiggle the resonator up over the axle and out the front. I installed the DynoMax system piece by piece, from the front to the rear. Super easy. 3 new clamps, 2 pieces of exhaust pipe, 1 muffler. Fit in the factory hangers with no problem. Installed the exhaust tip. Double checked the clamps. Fired it up, no leaks, sounds good. The tone is nice, but it is not aggressive as say a Flowmaster super 40. It is pretty tame in the higher RPM's. However, if anyone out there wants a cat back, stainless system at a good price, i'd order the DynoMax again and suggest it to others. Hope this helps those wanting a value exhaust system.

Looks like that cat back does NOT come with their VT muffler, the one with the valve. It comes with the ultra-flow. So I don't think you got a valve.

What? I know it doesn't have a valve? Did you read "value exhaust" as "valve exhaust"? hahah

In case anybody finds a new exhaust kit for a previous body style truck at a good deal...it may fit your truck. It did for me.

My truck is a 2014 RCSB and is lowered 4" front and 7" rear.

I scored a brand new Corsa kit for a 03-06 Silverado SS for dirt cheap. My plan was to just use the muffler and tip. As I was installing the kit I decided to try the over axle for fit check. The kits over axle ended up fitting perfect and lined up with the exhaust hangers like factory. Only modification was I could not use the kits flange to muffler pipe so I had to cut the stock pipe off at the factory flex pipe and add about a foot of pipe that goes to the muffler.

Total install only took 20 minutes using a lift. Sounds and looks awesome.

After reading this forum and doing as much research as I could stand, I decided to go with the 18" magnaflow

Thanks for everyone's input!

Actually I have a 6.2 but if u look at the pipe size on a 6.2 it's 3" muffler and 3" pipe after resonator thru tail pipe, used factory tip
