2014+ Lowering / Drop Kits

This issue I have is when I hit a small bump or hump in the road. I'm at the dealer now crazy enough it's coming from the front end haha. Seems like a strut or ball joint

could possibly be a front strut, mine made a popping noise like something was loose. Dealer replaced the front driver strut and it fixed the issue.

This is my latest. DJM 2/4 lower control arm drop. Installed anti sway bar as well. Firmed up the ride a bit, still close to a stock ride. Handles real nice now too.

Everything is great with it so far. Turning radius sucks a little bit. But nothing that can't be lived with. Had it installed because I don't have a driveway, live in a town house. DJM has recommended places that routinely do the installs and get the pinion angle correct. I have zero vibration issues. Just took a small alignment to adjust the toe in on front end. Well worth it and it looks great. No tire rub since it's not a huge drop.

I am fixing to the do this mod. I ordered the aluminum extruded lowering blocks like somebody had done, but somebody else had a problem with them not fitting? Can anyone elaborate?

Interesting I was looking at those drop arms but I didn't know the turning radius would be reduced. Do you have any idea why that is? Are the steering stops not welded in the same spot? Also where your stock arms steel or aluminium?

I've had McGaughy drop products on my past two trucks. Quality parts. I'm undecided if I'm going to lower my new Sierra or not.

Ive installed 100s of lowering kits- on GM McGaughys is in and out the best. Others arent always up to snuff. But ALL kits up or down need some common sense occasionally!

For the record Ive had 2 lowered '14s a 2wd and a 4wd- used the big $$$ adjustable kit on 2wd and the coil relocaters and leaf springs w/hangers on 4wd. (I didnt use one of their pre-packaged kits/ordered parts separately) Remember if ur drive axle is at too flat a plane u'll have vibrations so adjust with pinion angle shims. And make sure u use them correctly- had a guy screaming the kit sucked blah blah- he had his shims backwards so the angle was worse!

I'm on the fence too, that's why I don't want to go lower than the 2/4 drop.

I had a 3/5 on my last Sierra and I had it shimmed up pretty good, but was still getting vibrations at freeway speeds. I love the way it looks, just don't want the headache.

I tried reading all the pages, but it wasn't specifically stated - if you just want to remove the rear blocks on a 4x4 truck, can you re-use the same U-bolts?
