It was asked before, but here is the answer again....

From the last pup cat it is 3.5" to the inlet of the muffler. Outlet of muffler is 3.5" but then immediately drops to 3" before it enters the backpressure valve. Exits the backpressure valve as 3" then steps up to 3.5" to entrance of the rear resonator. Exits the rear resonator as 3" to the tail pipe.

Is this the same for the 2013 model as well?

2013 has 3.5" all the way. I never bothered to measure but the tailpipe on the 14 5.3 and 6.2 is visually identical.

Still waiting for my SLT 6.2 to be delivered.

If I want to put an exhaust tip on, what size would I need? (ie: Inlet, outlet, length)

If you are just wanting a tip, then the GM tip would be fine. To answer your question the tip is 3" on the 6.2 trucks.

TJay74, does the inlet of the factory muffler reduce? Should I order a 3.5" inlet / 3" outlet or a 3" inlet / outlet??

Mine is 2014 6.2L and the tailpipe is 3.5". I couldn't find any exhaust tip that looks better than the GM 22911703

Looked over the forum briefly and can't find it. I'm looking to replace the muffler and cut out the flapper but I don't know what the diamaet of the exhaust is there on the pipe so I can't get some pipe and muffler. Anyone know?

Thanks!

2 7/8" on the 5.3 I believe it is slightly larger on the 6.2

3" muffler, center in, offset out. and a section of 3" pipe to replace where the flapper goes.

That's what I read everywhere, everyone says that the 2014 6.2L has 3" tailpipe. I don't know why mine is different!!
