why the 90 degree? mine exists at the same spot, i just pushed it out the knock out hole and it curved down on its own

Had trouble with them collapsing when I put them through the holes I drilled in the knock out plugs (wanted it more closed to keep out dust). Someone else did this and I thought it made sense, especially running the tubes out behind a Bedrug. Works great, it's cheap and it was something to fiddle with. Did I have to do this? No, but it doesn't collapse any more. Highly optional...

This is what I was thinking also. If the tube is flexible as it appears to be, I would think you wouldn't need an elbow?

As I said, you don't "need" an elbow, but the tubing collapsed...this fixed it...simple, cheap...there were a few others who noticed it too and replaced their tubing with braided reinforced tube. Again, you don't "need" it, but I like it.

Installed the Bakflip yesterday and I must say it looks nice! It wasn't hard to install, just followed the instructions. It rained hard last night and no rain in the bed of the truck! Thanks Chuck for the drain line mod..

I have an OEM bedliner in my garage taking up space, it was never installed. Oh well, need to find someone in Virginia who needs one. :D

Revolver X2 is the renamed Roll-X, apparently Rollex took issue with the name. What I want to know if the difference between the Revolver X2 and the Truxedo Titanium.

So, I'm about to pull the trigger on the bak g2 or vp. Is there any consensus on which one is the better option in terms of keeping water out and durability? It appears from the website that the g2 can hold more weight (400 lbs. vs. 250 lbs.), but it sounds like the vp has an additional layer of vinyl over top? Is one more low profile than the other? Plan on keeping this thing on there for years, so I want to make the right decision.

Well after a few weeks with the Tonnopro Hard Fold I like the cover especially for the price $425 shipped. The first cover had some hinge issues, that affect the appearance a bit, I asked the mfr. if this was normal they said no and sent a second cover, which was worse than the first, they've now sent a third cover that seems to be pretty close to right. The cover looks pretty nice either way and its certainly rainproof. The two down sides compared to the undercover flex I had before is the latching system is not as easy or as quick to open and if you want full bed access you have to take the cover off but, I rarely need full bed access for tall items. I may switch to a Truxedo Titanium if it ever comes out.

Not exactly. Both covers are owned by Bak. The Revolver is actually the second generation Roll-X. There are a few design changes. Currently, both covers are available, but I'm guessing that the Roll-X will be phased out once inventory levels drop.

Installed my Bak Revolver X2 on Monday. I have the 6.5' standard bed. No gaps anywhere. Install was easy. Best tonneau cover out there IMHO.

That's what I'm looking forward to as well. What would be awesome is if they fused a rolling hard cover with the truxedo deuce so you can fold a section back instead of rolling it all the way up. I'd buy that in a heartbeat!

I just need something to get the job done and keep my stuff out of the elements, as well as secure from potential thieves.

Anyone here use Tonno Pro? Or Access Lorado?

Will I get quality usage and lifespan from them? Im not trying to break the bank but if Im gonna pay a few hundred I want my monies worth.

    • I have never seen GM instructions for the other trucks as per the HD with the 6 speed or the half tons but had got the impression that the HD trucks with the 6 speed were not having the same problem that the 10 speed and pan presented. Also video that I have seen of the HD 10 speed with the gas engine starting in 2024 model year showed that it was a real struggle to even make it work when pulling down hard on the exhaust after undoing the exhaust hanger bracket on the side of the transmission as after all there is little room for the pipe to even go down behind the Y joint as it soon would hit a frame cross member. Also that they had tried just like I did with the gasket off and no way was that pan coming out any way they tried to manipulate the pan. From that as well as the local transmission shop talking about the pain in the rear issue, I was not expecting my pan to come out because GM shows it was not even intended to come out without dealing with the exhaust piping.    It would be nice to claim, here's what you do and its easy to remove the pan guaranteed on any HD truck with the gas 10 speed but dollars to donuts the next guy trying what I did would not have the same luck as the exhaust was just manufactured slightly different and be pissed off at my claim that the pan comes out with no issue. Its more of a try and see if your particular truck might work like mine did .... or not !.
    • Sorry I didn't see this until now, but it works on both the 6 speed and 10 speeds, as well as all the half tons too.
    • Hello, I have a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 that I recently changed both motor mounts on due to the driver's side being blown out. After replacement I seem to have a steady vibration that I can feel in the pedals and the back of the seat. At this point I'm convinced that the aftermarket "Anchor" branded mounts I used are not performing as well as OE, the only real reason I ended up using the mounts in question was because my local dealers were out a few months to get a Driver's side mount. I've tried "Neutralizing" the mounts according to the motor mount TSB published for these truck to no avail. My trans mount is also in great shape and seems to be absorbing vibrations swimmingly. As far as I can tell there is no issues idling, my idle RPM is steady and I've recently put GM plugs and wires on, however, I have not cleaned the throttle body or intake valves. Any one else have a similar experience with aftermarket mounts? Patience certainly is a virtue that I wish I exercised here. Thank you!
    • I still saw people out for runs, on their bikes/motorcylces, jeeps with the doors off driving around here the past 2 days. I guess we are just used to it here haha.   Tasted like a bonfire the last 2 days.
    • The TCM has to be flashed before it can drive.   If you installed it the way it is, it has the OS (operating system/program) from the 2010 truck you got it from. That will not match with the VIN/OS pair that your 2013 truck has.   You can do the full install. Then tow it to a dealership and they can flash the trucks PCM/TCM with the latest program for your VIN.
