Driving around the last few days and noticed the truck just can't decide what gear it wants to stay in... It's so annoying. Especially after getting the exhaust done it just makes it so obvious listening to the truck down shift up shift like it's confused.. I miss my 06 gmc

In town use M4 or M5. Problem solved. I've been doing it since the day I bought my 2011.

M4 m5? Are u referring to manual shifting?

Should of thought twice about putting an exhaust on. Might as well get a tune so it won't use v4 mode. We all know how terrible they sound when it kicks into v4 with an aftermarket exhaust.

That's not even tho problem. Yes it sounds bad when it switches but the issue is constantly shifting to keep the truck moving. It seems like a lot of unnecessary shifting. It doesn't seem right

Mine does same thing, hammered it, it paused to downshift, paused again, then downshifted, was weird, second time it's done that.

Funny, mine doesn't do this and this is prob the 3rd GM vehicle I have owned with the 6L80E transmission in it.

Hmm. I know mine shifts a good bit, bet you just notice it a lot more with that exhaust. Sucks, cuz I've been wanting to do an aftermarket exhaust. Have you though about a tune?

It was never noticeable before the exhaust... But after it just seems like the truck is gutless now... + you can not only feel the truck shifting but now u can hear it struggle... Honestly.. Ever since the exhaust being changed the truck drives like crap

I've never considered it only because I don't want to chance voiding warranties on my DD... regardless of being able to get restored back to stock for repairs.. I can't risk it. Tunes just not for me.. I've ran edge programmer on my 06 but I think I paid 300$ just for a monitor and an error code reader.... Waste

I've been reading on the forum and some people mentioned updates for the truck? should I take my truck in and see if updates are available?
