Heated Seat Kit - 17803282

I have read most of the threads that come up with a search about installing the heated seat kit. My question is this: Has anyone mounted the switches in a location other than the cubby in the dash? I would think a location in the center console or in the seat plastic on the side would look better and be more accessible for the driver.

Are the wires long enough or designed to where you could cut your own hole for the switch and mount it up? Or do the switch wires run as a single loom?

Also, if anyone has a picture of just the switch, could you post that? How does it connect to the filler plate used in the dash?

Hopefully someone has done this and has some innovative solutions. Thanks.

The harness is only about three feet coming off the junction block. The switches does come off the plate but they are one piece. They are held in just like your window switches. When you install it make sure you write the module p/n down so the tech can find it esier when he hooks the comouter up.

If you're not going to put the switches there why not just get an aftermarket kit and save some cash.... I've got a check brand kit and they are nice
