Looks good to me. I have to believe there's an adjustment of the retracted position stops.

This pic confirms my suspicion that the gap exist on all AMP steps and it's not just mine! This is very upsetting! Look at the back cab, the step is flush, then look at the front fender side it has a 1" gap. Minimal I know but on white it stands out bad compared to your dark colored truck

I guess I'm not seeing what you're seeing. I don't see the 1" gap you're talking about.

^^ Ok, I see it now. Hard to see on dark vehicle.

Here it is on mine.....I hardly notice it, but I do agree it is a little off. Not a deal breaker for me though! These things are awesome.

If you keep looking at these trucks you'll see other imperfections. Some door gaps are uneven etc.

I told my dealer to order the AMP steps today.

Did you get any cheaper price as to order on your own?

Yours looks dead on to me, wonder if I can tweak on these to get them tucked equally

What I did was loosen all the bolts, tighten the bolts to the boards first, extend and retract the boards a couple of times to get them square to the body, then retighten the body mount bolts. This made them work "smother" and might of helped with the alignment to the body.

tried the tip from cansled, didn't work, called AMP and talked to a tech for 30 minutes, didn't work...beyond frustrated with spending $1000+ on steps that look like garbage, just feel defeated

And the driver side constantly rubs the parking brake line bracket

Im having mine installed by my Snugtop dealer. He's a meticulous guy with great customer service. I'll look for this condition and talk to him about it up front. I won't accept an install that's crooked like that last pic.

Cool man I appreciate any feedback he might be able to give...I'm highly experienced and have done several sets of AMPs, but I'm about ready to rip these off, literally, and mail them back in pieces to AMP...
