Does anyone know what Bolt is used on the OEM steps? I've got a set, but no bolts.

If they mount like my old ones did they use the stock body bushing bolts.

M8 x 30mm. You will need u-nuts for each of the bolts.....(at least I did on my double cab). Very simple install.

Installed my Iron Cross HD Steps today... Very pleased... I will do a separate install write-up

Looks great! Too bad they don't make them for a regular cab. How are they getting out?

How long did it take you guys to receive your n-fab nerf bars?

I called on my order and all he could tell me was that it was 10-15 business days to process the order prior to being shipped... kind of turned off from even suggesting them to anyone in the future. If I would have known this, I probably would of just paid an extra $30-40 and went with ebay as opposed to direct from n-Fab.

It's basically going to be 4-5 weeks before I see my steps. Ordered them on Dec. 19, I'll post up some pics and date when they get in.

I ordered mine from 4 wheel parts and it took the same time for mine but worth it I like them, I'm sure the ones on eBay have the wait also.

I have seen several post from you guys using Raptor bars and wanted to see if you still like them and if there are any quality issues.

I ordered a set of gorhino 4" oe extreme sidesteps in SS but received them damaged. The quality didn't seem to great either (showed welds on end caps). They are going back tomorrow and want to order something else asap.

Thanks for any help.

Brian

The Raptor stainless finish is flawless...especially the "blended" end caps - they are not plastic or insert caps like some... truly a seamless look with no visible welds!. They are imported (what isn't any more) and the bars use a variety of different mounts to fit various trucks. If you want the look of chrome with the durability of stainless, then these are for you... very impressed with mine.

I ordered 5" oval Magnum Raptors from Running Board Warehouse / Auto Customs with FedEx delivery in days - not weeks. We are happy with the deal and the look ... at roughly half the price of the factory steps - which were not available in stainless. They use body bolt mounting brackets and the middle bracket also has an additional U-bolt attachment brace to the rocker panel / lower rail for a nice solid feel. I doubt that I'll need the lifetime warranty, but it is there.

Nothing up close and the truck is parked in the garage for the winter with a car snuggled up right next to it. (That plus I am so new here that I haven't figured out how to upload a photo to a posting on this site - apparently not as easy as some). The on-line photos are accurate, however.

If you are on tapatalk:

In the bottom left there should be a "+", press that and then click on the mountain looking icon which is a picture, your phone should ask if you would like to allow tapatalk access to your photos, click "yes" or "allow" and then choose your photo

OR

You could download the photobucket app and then upload you pictures to that and then you can copy and paste a link to here

If you are on a desktop/laptop/using the desktop version of the site on phone or tablet:

I know the photobucket method will still work, but not sure about how else to do it from a computer as I just always use tapatalk.

    • I understand that. The price is what it is, though. The price is what oil costs today, where our choices have led us, where supply is, and where demand is, in the market that is. Speculation is for futures, what we think the price will be, but with incomplete information at the time the price is forecast. I know you know this, but you appear to be intent on making a secondary point here about what you think the market could or should be, if only other choices.   In 1975 it became illegal to export US Crude. I'm conflicted on what the best answer is. Free markets allow export in pursuit of profit. But there is also a lot to gain by producing and consuming our own oil here. How do you reconcile it?
    • That sir is a choice. And even if it were not for all the reasons stated, this disruption has zero to do with the reality of the actual logistics and everything to do with the greed of SPECULATION. Spot price is irrelevant to reality.
    • What I think you're saying is there is supply here at home, and in Venezuela, and we could ease pricing if only it were favorable to do so.   Well, yes?   But that's not the current market. Supply isn't what could someday exist, if only, it's what producers are willing to produce and sell at a certain price point.   The national price of single family homes would come way down if we'd just slap together a few million homes this summer.   RAM and GPUs would get a lot cheaper if we just set up some factories to produce a bunch more and stopped using it to build out AI data centers.
