I'll post part numbers, prices, some photos when done.

Thanks man that would be appreciated, are you going to try to have all the plugs functioning

Gonna try. I think one set of USB plugs may not though. I bought a cable for that purpose but plugging it in does not automatically mean it will work.

I can't wait for the write up and pics. I had the console in my old truck and really miss it in my new LT. If all the outlets will work, I'm gonna try it.

My dealership must be slow I don't understand why it hasn't come in and you guys are already getting them what part if the dash has to be replaced

Can you tell us what the part numbers are or take a picture of the list they gave you? I'm having the same issue

I've got a 2014 Chevy LTZ Z71 Double Cab. Want to switch out the jump seat for a new full console that goes all the way to the dashboard/floor. Anyone tried this swap? If so i'm looking for pricing and where to find the parts.

The console kit comes with a harness. It is designed to plug into the IP harness behind where the ash tray would be. The plug in for the jump seat/short console plugs in below the seat. So clearly some rewiring would be necessary. The IP harnesses are different part numbers so it is unlikely that there is a plugin behind the IP if no full console is factory installed. I plan on adding a console to mine in a few weeks so I'll find out how all of this will work. I think all plugs could work except for some USB plugs. Cannot simply splice USB wire I don't think. USB with console has 2 separate plugins at the K74 Human Machine Interface Control Module.

DId you buy a new console to replace your jumpseat?

Finally the console is complete now ready for the install and see what other problems I run into

can you PLEASE tell me what parts you ordered and where for this??????? i am trying to do this exact same thing! THanks!

$500+ shipping. Not bad. Less than I expected.

What website did you use to look up the pricing? Or did you just send the part numbers to the dealership?

Ya sorry about that, this was my first ever Forum so i discovered that eventually. Really want to do this and try it on my own. Just waiting for someone to specify on the results of the wiring.

Got my console installed finally (mostly). Had to do somewhat of a hurry up job so I didn't get as much documented as would have liked though. The install of the console is pretty easy. Removed the right front seat. Two torx bolts, unplug electrical connector and lift it out of the door. Left the seat belt connected. The bolts are in the rear. lift the rear of the seat to unhook the front. 3 screws to remove the ashtray/storage compartment. Install the bracket in that location with screws already there. Four bolts ( under covers ) and two harness plug ins to remove center seat. Physical installation is straight forward once the old stuff is out of the way. The electrical install is a little challenging but not too bad depending what you want to work. The new console comes with a harness but there is nowhere to plug it in. You can use the original front IP harness to connect the 110v outlet and one 12v outlet in the front of the console. I jumped 12v and ground to the power outlet next to it. I have not yet gotten the front USB ports working. It is a work in progress although I'm not all that confident it will ever work. The USB, audio input jack, SD card outlet and 12v outlet inside the console all work using the harness out of the old seat/console.The inside light needs to be wired to power and ground, and I did that. I think now that I have been through this. I might do it a little different the second time. Probably take both harness out and make one complete harness prior to installation.Frankly I don't need all those USB and 12v outlets anyway. I look at those front USB outlets as a challenge though. Overall I'm very happy with the install. Cost me $575 w/tax at 10% over dealer cost (employee). But that included a USB cable and an accessory tray (highly recommended) . you will need 2 bolts to connect the console the bracket. 6mm thread I think. 10mm head standard GM bolt.

What that cost you? Sent from my Nexus 5

I bought most of the parts to build the safe prototype, you will probably spend around $800.
