it seem my both center seat i had was easier to sell than my actual spare console lol

i did console mod twice and both times it took 2 days to sell the seat

now i have a spare console and i ask less than many who sell their seat .......and still not sold

Yep I like mine a lot! Did anybody make anything off their Jump seat? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the trouble of putting back together and trying to sell without a wiring harness and all. I kinda just thought about throwing it in a dumpster!

I got $200 for mine. Black/leather without harness. Sold via Craigslist in 2 days.

Anyone figure out if all plugs can work If u have a jump seat now? Can't buy a harness from a console truck and use it? My understanding is either all the front ones can work or all the front except the 3 usb and then all the under the lid ones can work. But not all in truck can work. It's either or?

I've got everything but the 3usb's, 1 cig plug up front, and the internal light working. I plan on getting the other plug up front working but don't think I'm gonna fool with the USB's. Definitely not fooling with the light

I just crimped a wire off the other cig lighter plug wire to go into the new one.

I dont have a power inverter so my inverter is just cosmetic, and my usbs have 12v but dont work yet. I got the 12v off the cig lighter wire also.

Yea that's what I'm gonna do on my 2nd cig plug. I cut off one of the connectors off the unused harness. I don't think I'm gonna fool with the USB's. I charge my stuff in the console anyway and don't need all 3 of those anyway.

On both console I installed, everything work as they should do. Only those 3 USB are only for charging but not for music. I got 12v from left bloc fuse as it is on a oem one.

My both console was installed as oem with right fuse for right accessories

I don't like something not done professionally.

I'm mechanic for GM so I work as GM want it lol

All it'll do is offset the load capacity of the cig lighters. Not really a big deal unless you have a ton of stuff plugged in at once. Then it'll blow the fuse to protect the wire.

If I had my way GM would have included the correct harness in the first place, and I coulda just plugged right in. But I guess I get why they didn't. Saves weight and money.

Well I'll give it a shot then. I've got the front plugs and the little tray too. How much did shipping run you on that?

I think it was around $35 for shipping

as you said , if you don'T use every plug at their max capacity., splitting the harness between 2 plugs will do the job .

i was not judging anyone ...i'm only a little obsessive with details lol

still have a console to sell here (just in case noone read it yet ) from Quebec, Canada

Installed my console yesterday. Everything went well. I don't have the three USB's up front working yet, but feel like I'm very close. I have successfully attached the USB cable from the HMI (behind the glove box) to the center console. On my 2015, I have the extra USB in the upper glove box. I disconnected it from the HMI (it's the USB with the green plug) and plugged in the new cable in its place. I used the cable recommended by TBarn (GM part 19303328.) You have to trim the connector on that cable quite a bit to make it fit in the HMI. If you are patient, it can be done and will still securely connect to the HMI. I then routed the cable to the center console.

I ran into a problem trying to get power to pins 4 and 6 on the USB. My local dealership didn't have any connectors (SAIT-A03GF-M064) in tray 27. I rummaged around and found something very similar from an old PC power supply that I was going to try and use, but they weren't a secure fit - too loose.

The way I installed the console was to remove the "new" console wiring harness, except for the wiring to the back cigarette lighter and the switch leg wiring for the light. I left that wiring in place, but cut out the remainder of the harness, leaving plenty of wire to splice. I then took the harness out of the "old" flip console. I spliced that old harness to the back cigarette lighter and the light circuit. Everything else on the back of the console is plug and play. I then used one of the cigarette plugs from the new harness to build a jumper for the second cigarette plug up front. Everything now works except for the power to the three USBs.

I woke up this morning and realized I think I have what I need to finish this. Because I pulled out most of the new console harness, I'm left with the plug from the 2 USB/SD/stereo plug. That plug is identical to the plug that connects on the back of the 3 USBs. So my next step is to cut that plug with plenty of excess wire and splice pins 4 and 6 to power and ground. My theory is that I will have fully functioning USBs up front once I do this. (The only minor downside is losing the USB in the upper glove box.)

I plan to give this a try one night this week. I'll report back.

It's exactly what I did for the plug to the fronts usb

Everything's else was done almost the same except I ran power for extra 12v socket from the right fuse it suppose to be.

I can affirm it will work for you the way you did it and what you will do for usb :)

Thanks for the confirmation. I know I should have run an extra power for the 12v, but its just not that important to me. In fact, I had to look around to find something to plug into it for testing. I doubt I will ever have two 12v devices connected at the same time.

I will post back when finished.

Guys, I'm new to this forum so please forgive any stupid questions I may ask. My wife surprised me with the truck. I really wanted the center console instead of that jump seat. If i could swap it out for the console and get everything to work like its supposed to without burning up my brand new truck I'd be eternally grateful. Would it be best to just order the console and everything from the dealer or is there somewhere else that won't rape my wallet on the price?

    • HD at the moment, are kinda their own deal.  How LTZ sells on those vs on 1500, there is a difference.   They are merging most of the mid trims on 1500.  LT, RST and LTZ are replaced by one trim, Silverado.  LT and RST are a BIG portion of sales.    Bad naming choice aside, the new Silverado trim will offer the spread of options that those three trims offered.  So expect to see things like the tech package for example, and memory seats.  And LT Trail Boss will now just be "Trail Boss" (formerly LT Trail Boss) but will offer content spread like the new Silverado trim will.  The press photos showed the Trail Boss (formerly LT Trail Boss) has access to Super Cruise now, which on the current truck was High Country only.       Here is the Trail Boss interior.  Memory seats and Super Cruise are present.  All things the LT Trail Boss it replaces, and the RST it was based on didn't get on the current gen.  You had to go to LTZ or ZR2 for memory seats, and High Country for Super Cruise.
    • I installed a Hellwig rear sway bar on my 21 Sierra SLT, it made a huge difference on how the truck handles, no body roll, the trucks much more planted now. Not sure of the suspension differences between the 21 and 26,  if its body roll your having a sway bar will solve it.
    • So a follow up and my fix. I found in online searches the live data to look at on a scan tool to verify the fuel tank pressure sensor was working.  It showed an spec number towards the lower end of the rang, but in spec.  Then while it was running opened the gas cap and the pressure should change.  It didn't change even a tiny bit.  The data for the purge valve said it was open...never changed. So then I measured the voltages on the plug for the fuel pressure sensor and they matched what it should be.  So local car quest parts had the sensor in stock...it was a bit of a pain to remove and an even bigger one to get it to actually go back in.  It helped to unbolt the driveshaft and bungie cord away from the gas tank to give a bit more room to work. So fuel tank pressure sensor in I cleared the code, and started it up.  I went to the scan tool's live data and... Eureka! The pressure number was different and fluctuated a bit.  So took it on a short drive and pressure number varied saw the purge valve go from closed to open and back to closed.  Drove it to and from work for roughly a week plugged in the scan tool no codes.  I took it in to get tested and passed.  In my state's infinite wisdom (oops meant greed), since I pushed the test with the maximum extensions I have to take it back in by Feb '27 to 'get it back up to date', then my next test won't be until Feb '29.
    • Any grease on the stud threads of any kind?   Wheel studs should have NOTHING on them for proper torquing and so the nuts don't back off.     Are all of the mating surfaces clean?  So wheel, rotor and hub?     We've had plenty of trucks at work with that wheel, this is a first to me.  Makes me think they've got a lube tech putting anti-seize on all the wheel studs or some kind of grease, and they need to stop doing that.  To have 11 other trucks with the same exact problem.
    • I was a Chevy guy for years, then switched to GMC because I liked the looks better.  I'm actually thinking I like the Chevy looks better than GMC for the first time in a lot of years.   One thing I know for certain, the new GMC dash is hideous!  Chevy wins this one!
