Lol....crazy thinking. Let's break the law and pollute the air that'll show Obama!

They don't spend a bunch of money just to make the black smoke. They spend the money to make them perform and the result is the black smoke. If sports cars were diesel you would see it constantly. My friend's truck sure was a lot of fun to drive on the highway. After you were doing 50 it would pull like a sports car because the turbo was already going. You have to power brake it to get it run anything like that from a stop or down low.

Front emblem is stuck on by a few clips. Only back uses tape.

Still gives me a reason to get rid of old tape and paper haha. Since were on the subject, anyone know how to remove center caps without removing the wheels by anychance? If anything I'll end up trying the Velcro method but was just wondering on anyone else's experience.

I did it! I used two small smooth flat heads. If you can get one behind it and start pulling it out, you use the other to hold it out and then you pry around the circle till it pops out.

I have completed my Dash Cam install: running a BlueSkysea G1

which is relatively cheap and straight forward. I ran the power to the 120 volt plug on the dash and tucked the power wire up under the headliner, behind the pillar post and under the dash for a nice clean look. The camera powers on with the ignition and turns off when I shut the motor down, so I couldn't ask for more. Cheap insurance if a jerk pulls out in front of me or other mishaps as they occur.

Did you paint the emblems or something? I'll be trying your method tonight to black out the bowties.

I tried to black them. But it got annoying using plastidip since the emblems are seperated from the rest of the cap like the are on the grille and tailgate emblems. I tried 10 different ways to paint them, all failed. So I gave up on it with plastidip. If I do paint them, I'll take them off again and have to tape off all that I don't want painted, and then I'll have to use a permanent paint.

If you MUST pull the emblems, do it while the truck is hot in the sun, and use fishing line to saw back and forth behind the emblem. You won't damage the paint, and it comes right off. After that, just remove the adhesive residue, wax and you're good to go...minus the OEM badging.

Oh no. I didn't mean pull the emblems out. I meant since they are seperate on the front and rear, the plastidip basically seperated from itself between the actual emblem and the chrome surrounding it. So you can pull the plastidip off the chrome. Whereas with the center caps on the rims. Atleast on the Sierras, the emblem and cap are all one entire piece and there is no division at all. So the plastidip sticks to itself across te entire cap, and if you try to pull it off all but the emblem, it just pulls it off the emblem as well
