Sorry NC I almost laughed...Winter in WI here and -15 overnight becomes normal. My 80 pound chocolate lab can walk on top of the snow pack!

Been a very bad winter here too. Coldest February ever at 16.4 degree average temp for the month. Have had nearly 5 feet of snow in 2 months. Snow banks on the side of the road are nearly 4 feet high......

I don't think I'll get to wash the truck until June!

My point was how the weather can change so quick in NC. We rarely get temps in the negatives, but I know I could deal with it. It's been times where it would be around freezing and I go somewhere without a jackets and in a t-shirt and not get all that cold.

I'm embarrassed that my town basically shut down with 6" of snow. I remember one day this winter the schools closed just because the temp was around 0 and guess what, wasn't an ounce of snow and wasn't any call for any either. I've worked outside for hours at a time in those temps so I think they'd be able to go to school in it especially since they're inside most of the time.

I actually love snow, but of course I know people like you that deal with a lot more snow than I do and for most of the winter usually feel different. Honestly though, I'd rather deal with snow everyday during the winter than have 1 bad hurricane pass through. Luckily it's been I believe 2-3 years since we had a hurricane come through here.

Nothing exciting but we hit 40 today here in WI so I was able to get after some fluid changes. Changed the front and rear differential oil to Amsoil. Also changed the transfer case fluid. Transfer case had some metal on the magnet, front diff oil wasn't terrible but kind of milky. Rear diff oil was terrible, black and nasty. I tow quite a bit so I expected the rear to be bad after break in. I'm waiting on my PML deep tranny pan and then I'll swap that over next.

At wat mileage was this perform? Do you do this yourself if so nicely done ? Was level of diffculty would u rate it

Yes I did it all myself. Mileage was at 10k. Almost all that mileage is towing. It's actually a pretty easy job. Rear diff has reusable gasket. Transfer case and front diff are even easier. Open drain plug and fill through top fill plug.

Sure transfer case took about 1.75 quarts of atf. Rear diff took 3 quarts and front took 2 quarts. I don't think the 5.3 will be much different, if any. Edited March 8, 2015 by sugarjohnson

Gonna do an oil change today as well as grease 2 whole zerks. Then I'm gonna focus my attention on the quad and do oil change, diff fluid changes and gearbox oil change [emoji106]

Hard wired the mini 0806 I purchased a few weeks ago. I broke cardinal rule #1 ... I didn't test before installing the hard wire kit so now I have to go back and test all the wiring. On the plus side, the camera survived about a week on just battery with all features turned on.

I'll test and fix the hard wire kit whenever I have more time. And yes, the camera is tiny.
