The bars I added are for increased lighting in the rear when hooking up and loading my trailer as well as just backing up the driveway at night now that the windows are tinted. They've greatly increased visibility, both in the mirrors and with the backup cam.

Hey man,

First off, that is once sick install. I like the way you mounted them. Secondly, would it be possible for you to put up some pics from the inside of your cab looking out the back window. lastly, how does it look from your back up camera..(sorry im assuming you have one, if not would this still be something that you would've done) thanks man.

Thanks! I'll grab some more tomorrow. I do have a backup camera and even without it I would've done this in a heartbeat. With tinted windows it's still better than stock with no tint when looking out the side mirrors. Best part is you can't even see the lights until you get pretty far back or pretty low.

so the additional lighting doesn't flood out the view of your camera on the screen when backing up? Also, do you have a website for the LEDs that you used, and I'd like to pick your brain as far as how you went about installing....Thanks

Got these installed today. Tapped the relay into the reverse power, and made a secondary hidden switch for when I need them while working/camping. I went for the most descreet look I could as I dislike how the pods hanging down looks. total cost was about 130$ cad and 2 hours.

Those look awesome! Going to have to put that on my to-do list. Unfortunately I think you got the last pair. Clicked on the link and they are sold out. I'm sure there's something else out there that will work.

Out of curiosity, do you know if these are small enough to mount on either side of the hitch? I circled the area in the picture below.

If you dont tow anything you could mount them there but they will be in the way of safety chains.

Looked under mine, I'd have to go further out to the sides but it's a perfect spot...

I didn't even think of that. I guess my mind doesn't process everything when I'm sitting at my desk at the office.

Any chance you could post some close up pictures of how you mounted them?
