I had already added LED lighting under the hood to my mod list, but now I get to add the on/off switch too. Where did you get yours? How much? Does the hood "bounce" (when you close it) screw the switch, rail, or hood up any? Was the switch a bit of a pain to dial-in/rig?

I'll get you some close up pics later of the switch and reply with more info :)

Thanks!!! My wife and kids saw this, as I was looking at the recent updates, and want me to do the Superman on my Silverado. So much for trying to "midnight edition" mod mine.

Lol, sorry.

Kids and parents come up to my jeep with a batman theme all the time asking if they can get a picture.

You could do the superman in flat black and try to make it not stand out so much if you want to do a black on black theme.

Traveling to my grandparents today for the holiday & spotted this at the dealership. Wish I had one, so wicked.

Will that hood fit on a '17 1500 silverado without changing any other parts?

Nope. Have to change the whole front end, from what I've read. There's a post on here somewhere from someone who did it.

I thought that was someone that did a 14/15 to 16/17 swap? The hood looks like it has the same lines as the current 16/17 1500 hood.

Recently had her detailed at a local shop. Full paint correction and Opticoat ceramic sealer. Look at that reflection on the door!! Damn! Also dropped the Diablo Tune and added a Black Bear Tune. There is a noticeable difference.

Ok so, I am going to say hell yes this will do well for working in the dark! Here are some night pics, no flash.

The kit I got was this one from Diode Dynamics, Cool White.
No bouncing, pin switch is just above the fender top when hood is open and compresses easily on close. Simple install, I used an existing hole in the fender near battery. Few tries to get it to the close position I wanted.

Install for lights was easy, I uses some wire base mounts to zip tie to, and will run the wires under the insulation and mount more bases in there, have to go get some (along with christmas trees I lost ha)

Also need to cover the wires and mount them better by the hinge, but I got tired today.
Hope this helps!
