Did you upgrade the amp or anything else or just the speakers?

New parts? Not sure. I’ve been told parts (if bought new) are about $1K.

Consoles are to be had for about $450 - $700.

My passenger side HID ballast took a shit, so I decided to try something new and I ordered the Morimoto 2stroke LED kit from theretrofitsource. Got them installed and they look great!

I was just looking at this. Any pictures? Is everything concealed in the actual headlight housing? And how are the dust caps they provide?

No I didn't take any photos when doing the install. I wish everything would fit into the housing but with the ballast and anti-flicker module there is no way. I used the grommet I had in the dust cap from my hids to run the wires into the light. The dust caps they provide would work however on the passenger side with the air box there is no way it would work.

I took it for a drive and the light out put is great but doesn't seem as bright as with the 55w hid's I had in there but overall I'm very pleased with the lights. Its nice having the instant on vs having to wait for the hid's to warm up.

2" level kit was received today & will be installed on Saturday.  If I can get an appointment I'll also get an alignment done on Saturday.  285/55R20 BFG KO2's going on next Wednesday.

I'm sorry, but the "adjacent body shop" would be the ones who are "super tired" had that happened to my truck!  No way in hell would I have clay-barred and waxed the truck myself.

How do those ride when not towing?

I installed a driver grab handle into my 2015. Before I traded the truck for my current 2017 I swapped it back out. Well I cannot get the handle to fit in the 17... is there a new handle for those? Its so close to lining up but can’t get it.

Thanks,

It's not much different if you keep them at the 5 psi minimum. I keep mine at 15. I like the little stuffer ride. At 15 the truck is basically just using the air bags as the rear suspension, at 5 it is still using the factory suspension. That's the way it was explained to me by one of the support guys.

Normally I would wholeheartedly agree with you LA.  However the body shop owner brought steak, chicken, sausage, beer and a bottle of Black Label for the cook(me) so we could cookout at my buddy's shop for Christmas.  Usual parking space by a liquor store was full and since it is a dubious part of town I stupidly parked by the body shop.  Anyhow I took care of the problem and will chalk it up to learning a lesson.

    • I just brought home a 2020 GMC 1500 Denali.  She has 53K miles on her and I want to change out the fluids over the next few weeks.  I see the diff covers don't have drain plugs.  Any suggestions where I can pick up front and rear diff covers with drain plugs?   Thanks,   Bob
    • Well, the dealership got the compressor and installed it. Air at the vents seems nice and cold as it should be. The service manager said the repair has a two year warranty and unlimited mileage. Hopefully I don't have to use it. The dealership i went to was one where I bought my 2014 half ton silverado. In 10 years and 168k miles on the truck anything I needed done and two small recalls they were always very good to me. Not a huge dealer either. I think they treat people well because they want you to come back. I have dealt with a different dealer that was too big to care about an individual. Just my two cents.
    • Hi All, I operate my 2021 3500 SLT most of the time with the tailgate off and in a crate because I have a slide-in camper. However, at least once a year, I take the camper off and put the tailgate back on. Recently I installed the tailgate, but had a hard time getting the connector bail to swing to the fully latched position. The connector seems to fully seat, and everything works, but the bail doesn’t swing to fully latched position.  It swings almost there but stops and I am afraid to push it any harder.    Does anyone have any advice on cleaning or lubrication or anything else I should be doing?  i know how to properly operate the connector. During the time the tailgate and connector are off, i have a double plastic bag over the truck connector secured with rubber bands to keep it clean, but it still had some dust in it this time when I blew it out with compressed air. I didn’t want to spray it with anything other than air without doing some research. Thanks.

    • Hello @jaszr2 Do you have a link for the item? I put a replacement bumper on my truck and consequently had to relocate the shutters. I studied on them a while, and figured if you left a couple key blades, you could get most of the airflow with probably no throwing codes.
