Drove 700 miles to enjoy a week in Georgia's countryside. Averaged 21 mpg cruising at 75mph the whole way. I'm pleased!

Enjoy my home state : )

I prefer Mobil 1 filters, but I've wondered about the aluminum K&N reusable oil filter. Haven't really seen anybody that uses one, even a few years ago when I first saw it available for my 98. I don't think they have one for the K2 trucks yet, but I'm still wondering about how it is.

I used the stock oil, AC Delco synthetic blend, oil oil is draining throw a 3/8 hose off of a oil valve that I installed, the oil still looked good but kinda watery, probably because it was over 100*

I don't know why I used the K&N filter, just kinda figured I have a K&N air filter and cab filter so why not a oil filter too, all 3 are K&N, I think it's my OCD kickin in

The K&N oil filter is nice, I have it in my ford escape now. I should do that now ti my truck niw that the 4 free oil change is done.

I would not even think about the reusable oil filter, they are less than like $20 a piece, why risk?

Removed the hideous pin stripping along the truck and removed the Z71 decal. May ad the sierra style z71 emblem or remove the silverado badging and add the custom sport type.

I replaced the bed decals with the Custom Sport/Midnight Edition Z71 door emblems. From a distance it looks factory until the sun hits it or look at it a little close.

Bit of a loss for me today. Finally decided on "camo green" as my accent color... I did 8 coats, determined that each new coat would give me a darker or deeper, true camo green. It didn't. It looked booger green from every angle. Spent half my day applying coats all for nothing ... Think I'm just going to do red. (And yes, this is PlastiDip)

PS. Didn't bother peeling it correctly cause at that point I had pretty much decided I wasn't keeping it

Put my huskys in today. X-acts for the front and full weatherbeaters in the back. The fit isn't perfect but I'm guessing that after they've had a chance to heat up in the truck and stretch after being folded in a box they'll fit a little nicer. Is that the case others have been seeing?

May I ask what made you choose the x-act for the front? Im picking up weather beaters for the back for sure but Ive seen quite a few people get the x-act for the front instead

After reading a lot from this forum it was stated that the x-acts have a softer rubber feel vs the harder slicker plastic of the weatherbeaters. While I'm sure the front weatherbeaters are just fine I don't want my feet to be slipping around.

I've got the weatherbeater in the front and rear. No slippage. Fit perfectly. My dog doesn't even slip in the back when hes standing up looking out the windows. Very pleased with them.

I'm disappointed in the fit of the x-acts on the front passenger side. It won't stay in place and really just doesn't fit well. Thinking about going back to weathertech, but I hear they don't fit well either.

A little cheesy but added 3M carbon fiber vinyl wrap to the bowties. Matching the tungsten metallic paint is difficult which is why I went with this.
