If it makes you feel any better, I had a teenage girl merge into my lane and hit my 24ft boat on the highway. What's funny about it is, my truck was a whole car length ahead of her. The second she started coming over, I could see it coming. She merged into my lane and there was nothing I could do. Hit the trailer right on the left axle. Blew both tires, broke one rim, cracked the other, bent both axles, demolished the fender, and knocked the boat off center on the trailer. Trailer was totaled. Put a few scratches in the boat, but when she told me she didnt see me cause she was on the phone, I let her have it. Gave her one hell of a lecture. Funny part to add to this is my boat was YELLOW! How do you not see that! lol

I finally got my truck back from the body shop last thursday, took over a month to get it repaired. I think some people just just not even use the phone at all when they drive. The guy that hit me was using handsfree in a conference call, i got out to see if he was alright and he was too busy to even hang up his call.

Walk blindly out in to the street just because theyre a pedestrian and have their face buried in their phones. Ive stopped so many times for this and each time could have just as easily not slowed down or stopped and they would have ran in to my vehicle

 

 

At least look up before you walk out and check Then bury your head as you walk. Still just as bad but more acceptable that you at least looked before walking in the street

You are right, and also I hate it when they are in the mall, fat as f*** and blocks the entire hall way in narrower or crowded area. I have always wanted to kick them really hard and watch them face plant on the concrete floor.

i'm kinda like you, their insurance will cover it. but honestly, im surprised i didnt get out of my truck in a rage, even over something so small. no one was hurt and it wasnt a big deal. they had insurance so it'll get fixed and everyone moves on lol

My best friend got rear ended in his '06 Sierra about 2 years ago, I believe it was, by someone without insurance. He had to get a lawyer and still haven't gotten any money from it.

I've been hit twice by people with no insurance. Both times they provided the police officer with proof of insurance but they only paid for the first month just to get that proof & never paid anymore. The police wouldn't do anything so I was stuck with the bill.

I don't know how viable it would be, but I would surely consider suing them. Hell, if you caused an accident and are that much of a prick, I'll happily go out of my way to make your life miserable.

Well I finally got her back from the dealer yesterday. Brand new engine, she does feel a little slugish, maybe I just have to break her in? But anyway, I just finished installing my new Morimoto 5k Switchbacks. It's 100+ degress out here in Cali right now so I couldn't bear standing out there any longer after I finished up. Just snapped two quick pics to give an idea of what they'll look like. So far, impressed with the "whiteness" they do seem an accurate 5k and match the HID's well. Can't wait to see them at night.
