What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

Installed the Chrome Skid Plate today. It took some time, but I would rather have did it myself instead of the $300+ my Chevy Dealership quoted me just for install ( parts not included). But it turned out great, and it completes the front end.

Dropped it off at dealer. My vacuum pump is dead and that seatbelt recall had to be done, plus fixing a clunk that came from the front suspension.

I put around 8,000 miles on the truck over the summer, so I guess stuff like this was expected.

What seatbelt recall?

40% front/5% rear/5% brow ceramic 3M tint, Weathertech floor mats all around, Weatherguard low profile aluminum toolbox. Toying with the idea of a level kit, new wheels/tires, and the Borla S-type catback. Pretty happy with it as is to be honest and don't really want to screw with the gas mileage or comfort, but I do really like the look of a leveled truck with at least slightly larger wheels/tires. Wouldn't mind a Whipple supercharger either...

Removed my front lower valance (air dam) and last week got new Michelin LTX AT2 275/60/20's after getting a nail in the side wall of one of my stock Goodyears.

A little something I been playing with. Was going to replace the chrome bars with the body color ones and leave the chrome inserts but I am kinda liking the way it looks. I got some plans for the headlights coming up soon.

If you like it then keep it. If it was me I'd paint match the grille and keep the inserts chrome. Think that look good.

I may give it a try this weekend. The chrome and body color parts are just clipped in by a billion clips so they can be interchanged with a little work. I made a mockup of it before I got the grille.
