Remove OEM Badges?

I removed the Sierra lettering off of both doors and SLE from tailgate. It took me an hour to remove one side and about thirty on the other. It was warmer outside with the latter door and the adhesive came off much quicker. As far as the badge on fender, I haven't decided yet. I will say that with a black truck the lettering outline is still visible if you really look for it. Any ideas on how to get this off? I used turtle wax adhesive remover and it worked fine.

Clay bar it, then use adhesive remover again. After, wash & wax the area.

I took my Sierra to a detail shop and had them take it off and clean the truck. Looks sharp now

Slick...have a white Sierra and am debating doing the same; perhaps even leaving the big GMC on the tailgate and removing the rest.

I used dental floss, peeled the tape off with my fingers, and used goo gone, then waxed on the 2011 I had. Looked like it was never there.

I took off the GMC tailgate logo.... took hours. What a PITA. I had a heat gun... but wish I had that wheel thing.

also took off the GMC logo with fishing line... talk about painful is right.

I would like to remove the decals on the read side quarters. Any ideas?

Or is the hair dryer really that easy?

OK, I just finished de-badging the back of my truck. It took me a couple of days. Here's what I did.... I used fishing line to take off the SILVERADO and LT. Those were pretty easy. The left over double sided tape was easy to remove. I removed most of the left over with my fingers pretty easily. I then sprayed some goo-gone and it and it was clean. The difficult part was the Chevy bow tie. I used the ol' fishing line trick to take off the plastic piece, then I was left with A LOT of tape. And it was very difficult to get off! I was chipping away at it for a few days then I decided to get serious about it. I went to Napa auto parts and bought a eraser wheel ($13). I attached it to my cordless drill and went to work. IT WAS AWESOME!!! That eraser wheel makes it sooooo easy! I highly recommend that to anyone trying to do this. Good luck.

Has anyone removed the badges from their truck? Easy process?

Took everything off but the side moldings using fishing line, my wife's hair dryer and 3M Trim Adhesive Remover. Pretty simple and looks damn good!! It's a lot easier to wax too:).

I used spray and wax so far (that's all I had here). But tomorrow I'll go and but some real wax to put on it.
