You'll see members also refer to the process as "debadging" or "shaving" their trucks.

I removed the "Sierra" from each door. From the tailgate, the big "GMC", "Sierra", "SLT" badges. Then I added back a small "GMC" on bottom right of tailgate, like the 2007-13 GMT-900's had.

There's several theories on the best methods: goo gone, heat gun, fishing line, etc. but the most efficient is the eraser wheel. You can pick them up at O'Reilly and other part stores.

Want to see a '14 fully debadged....debating on the large GMC tailgate logo and the "4x4" logo on the fender removed. Perhaps the "Sierra" as well

I took off the GMC tailgate logo.... took hours. What a PITA. I had a heat gun... but wish I had that wheel thing.

tailgate emblem removed. All you need is fishing string and patience, maybe a blow dryer depending on outside temp. The other stuff, you run the risk of damaging the paint, I had a buddy who used the rubber "eraser" and he burned the paint and you could still sorta tell even after it was polished.

Has anyone removed the side body mouldings on a sierra? My AT has the chrome ones, and ones peeling already, I'm just curious if there are any holes behind this moulding or is it just the 3m tape?

Just 3M tape. Take it slow, should just come right off.

3M sells an Adhesive Remover/Cleaner that's safe for cured paint on vehicles. My dealer uses it to prep sold vehicles. It's great for prepping areas to be taped, removing adhesives, tar, wax, paint overspray, etc. Even used it to remove scuffed paint on my bumper from when I was rearended. I wouldn't use the rotating bar for fear of damaging my paint, but the adhesive removers work well. I removed my dealer badge this weekend and it was quick and painless. I didn't use the 3M one, but a TurtleWax tar remover that's similar. I've read that the 3M stuff is stronger, but my dealer badge was small (7" x 1") so I tried what I had in the garage first.
