Just 3M tape. Take it slow, should just come right off.

Great thanks. Plan on doing this and removing all badges once a few of my parts start showing up.

z71 fender emblem and side molding are GONE once I get a nice warm sunny day and im actually off. the z71 emblems will look great on my too box!

so has anyone here used that wheel? I have always used a blow dryer, goo gone and a TON of patience when removing side molding.

I have the wheel. It takes a little practice to figure out the exact angle it performs the best, but once you do, it's super fast in removing the tape residue.

I was planning on taking everything off except the z71 logo on the bed and the GMC logo on the tailgate when it gets warmer. After a hot day the emblems will be a lot easier to pull off.

You would think that but I did mine in July (average 95 degrees out) and it was still a pain. ha

They must have improved the tape that holds them on.

it's all about technique. You don't need any tools or adhesive removers just do it like this and you'll be left with a clean surface. People are over complicating it, its pretty simple.

It definitely wasn't that easy removing the one GMC badge from my tailgate. GM must use some serious tape these days..

On my K2, the adhesive wouldn't peel like in the video. Tore/ripped very easily instead of coming off in complete pieces. :banghead:

I must have just got lucky, mine came right off all I used was a blow dryer to heat it up a little bit.

I've been kicking around taking the big GMC off the tailgate.

Question? Anyone know if the Sierra 4X4 badge on the front fenders are just taped on like this? If so I'm taking those things off too

I removed the Sierra lettering off of both doors and SLE from tailgate. It took me an hour to remove one side and about thirty on the other. It was warmer outside with the latter door and the adhesive came off much quicker. As far as the badge on fender, I haven't decided yet. I will say that with a black truck the lettering outline is still visible if you really look for it. Any ideas on how to get this off? I used turtle wax adhesive remover and it worked fine.
