Ready to pull the trigger on a 6.2 Denali, help me pick the color!

New here. Long time car nut with many neat rides along the way, including several SUVs. But this will be my first truck. I did tons of research and test drives before landing on a GMC sierra. After driving the 6.2 and loving that engine so much, I knew I had to have it. Right now, most dealers are only seeing the 6.2 in the Denali trim. I started with wanting an SLT, but I do like navigation and in Texas I do like the A/C seat option, sunroof, etc. I saw quickly that the way I would equip my SLT was within a couple thousand of the Denali, so just going that direction.

I am in a "stall" on making final color choice. I have narrowed down to either the iridium or white. Would love to hear opinions from owners that have these two colors and what drove them across the finish line. To me:

Iridium - When clean and in the bright sun, looks great, deep, etc. however, worried about constantly looking dull, swirls showing, etc. and having a pretty much black vehicle in texas. Also dont like how the black trim on the truck just disappears into the iridium.

Summit white - Clean, bright, sporty look.Think toy tonka truck. Shows off the black trim really well. But looks too much like a work truck? And too boring/common? The diamond white is very pretty but too me looks maybe a little too feminine for a truck...maybe its just that i have seen it on so many moms driving acadias that its spoiled me...almost looks like nail polish or something to me. Again, to each their own, so please, no offense intended.

Re: interior, I like the "dune" seat color, but not crazy about the brown dash and I find the doors to look very busy with 3 different brown shades going on. So I am leaning toward the black interior. Sort of too bad, wouldnt be my first choice in Texas, wish they offerred the more subtle dune treatment from the yukon which I think looks great. So for me on the sierra, probably black interior.

Opinions? Pics?

thanks!

ps. deal I am offered is a few hundred below invoice and results in about $5-6k off sticker, which I feel is a reasonable deal... yes?

Considered Iridium but ...To me it looks purplish depending on how the sun hits it so I didn't get it. The only other color for me was black so that's what I got. When clean and along with the chrome it really stands out - at least to me.

I too was between iridium and white. I wound up with white diamond which is what my last truck was and really like it. The iridium was too dark for me and there was a demo one on the lot that wasn't cleaned up yet and it looked about as dirty as black would get, not to mention as above, it looks purple if the light hits it right. My dealer has a white denali on the lot and it looks great in my opinion. The chrome handles, mirror caps, wheels, and grille definitely set it apart from a work truck. My father in law also has a white denali and it has always done the trick for me looks wise. It is ultimately up to you though, and I think you would be happy with either color.

Color was one of the hardest choices on this truck for me as well. I ended up with Irridium. I'm so anal I even like to see how colors look when dirty. If you haven't noticed the one thing I like about the Irridium is the different hue's it takes on. Black, Gray, and even a Purple Metallic in the sunlight. I thought that was kind of unique and with the chrome(never been a big fan of), it looked very good together. I'm not a fan of the White diamond colors from GM or Dodge on the trucks. Ford's diamond version is nice as it's less noticable. Good lucks and sounds like it will be a nice truck either way!

what about interior matching? what have forum members found looks best with white vs. iridium?

i want to like the cocoa dune, especially with the white exterior, but a brown dash? three brown colors on the doors?

certainly black is safer, less busy, less going on in the cabin, but of course its dark, shows dust and will be hot... the two cars that are inbound for me to choose from will be on lot in a couple days:

summit white/cocoa

or

iridium/black

Both exact same equipment - 4x4, 6.2, z71, sunroof, etc.

My truck is Silver, but I wanted the Iridium color aka tungsten metallic in the Chevy world!!! My wife has that color on her traverse and I had it on my Tacoma prior!!!! It is a great color and actually hides the dirt better than you might think. It will however show water spots and pollen pretty bad!! But when clean and sunny and you see the sparkle of the metallic you will be hooked. As for you interior selection if you go the with jet black/dark ash your carpet will be the dark black and the seats are a grey color!!! Good luck with your decision!!!

I chose the Jet Black as I loved the white stitching but have always loved black leather. Easy to maintain as well.

If Iridium is that dark dark green color, then that's what I would choose. It almost looks black.

I have white with the cocoa/dune interior and think it's great. The different colors on the interior is much nicer than you may think. It all goes together quite well.

Well here in Iowa I will never do white ever again, I had too many problems dealing with "rail dust", getting small rust stains on the paint. I believe I got them from the snow plows during the winter with the blades grinding across the pavement as I only noticed them in the winter. You might not have much problems with that as your from Texas but for my 2014 I went with Tungsten Metallic from Chevy but it is the same color as Iridium Metallic.

Yes those darn water spots are bad I got the Irridium Metallic/jet black interior and it is absolutely gorgeous (right after it is washed) however if you do not dry the truck it has enough water spots to look like a spotted leopard! I am going to try to maybe put a good wax on (if it EVER warms up here) and see if that helps with the water spotting. My preferred color choice was the cobalt blue metallic but I did not want to wait on a truck that had everything I wanted on it in the blue so I got the Irridium metallic which was my second color choice. I may go back about this time next year and get a 2015 Denali in the blue. I am not sure if the Denali is restricted to certain colors or if you can get it in blue? I might opt for the cocoa interior with the blue but not sure on that I would have to see one in person to make that choice I guess.

I got a CC SB Z71 4x4 5.3 3.42 with nav/heated cooled seats/trailer control/heated steering wheel. Pretty decent truck I am enjoying driving it so far.

You should pick the starter too (the one that works).

BTW, maroon is my favorite color and I think that these trucks look great in that color. Just saw one on the local dealer's lot.

One question...What color do you like best? Go with it!
