Hoppers is good for cleaning action area but as far as removing copper and powder residue it falls short, that takes some butches bore shine or sweets 7.62. Then use the hoppies to clean the strong solvent out.

I've used a sample can on Remoil that my FFL gave me when I picked up my 870 and it seems to do OK as a lubricant. It seems to grease up when it gets hot (tested on a Kimber Custom II over a 2 day tactical shoot course). Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. But other than that, I just stick with the milspec one step wonder: Breakfree CLP.

Agreed. Lots of advanced stuff out there.

But the main thing is to actually use an oil regularly. It makes much less difference which one.

If you're running a glock of any kind (I had a gen3 and have a gen4 23) it doesn't matter what oil you run. Its actually meant to run dry hence the small contact points on the frame connecting to the slide. I'm not saying don't oil the gun but I use both and have zero issues. Also its a great truck pistol for this very reason.

Hoppes for cleaning and remoil for a light external wipe down before long term storage to hep protect from rust. Remoil burns off quickly so I don't use it as a lubricant. Lucas oil makes very good gun products. They hold up to the heat and don't seize up the gun in extreme cold.
