New Sierra SLT Crew 6.5' bed 4x4 6.2L

Just picked it up yesterday, and so far I love the this beast! It's my first big truck, so it's going to take a few days to get used to it's size. I got it with Navigation, tilt/telescoping steering, Preferred and SLT Crew Cab Value Package. The only thing I would have liked to get would be the cooled seats, but with the remote start it's not really a big issue.

just a FYI on the HVAC using remote start. It will only work if the HVAC is left on and in the mode/temp setting you want later when you remote start the truck. Unlike previous GM vehicles that would turn on the AC or Heat depending on outside temps, the new trucks don't work that way,

Congrats. Don't fret on the cooled seats, they don't work that good compared to how the 07-13 units did.

ignition is turned on. Press the

heated or cooled seat button to use

the heated or cooled seats after the

vehicle is started.

The heated or cooled seat indicator

lights do not turn on during a remote

start.

The temperature performance of an

unoccupied seat may be reduced.

This is normal.

The heated or cooled seats will not

turn on during a remote start unless

they are enabled in the vehicle

personalization menu. See Remote

Vehicle Start on page 2-6 and

Vehicle Personalization on

page 5-45.

That's great for the seats, but I think he was mentioning the HVAC temp controls for the entire cabin area. Like in my truck, if I turn off the truck with it set at 70* the next time truck is started the auto climate control will kick on whichever system (AC or heat) to keep the cabin at 70*.
