Thinking of selling my 14'...

I'm really paranoid about our Company right now. Coal buisness is not good...Thanks Obama.

 

I thought about down grading my 14. I found a dealer that has a 2011 crew cab 4x4 with a 6.2L in it with 39k miles for 29,900. After talking them down they dropped the price to 27000. With trading my truck I could keep my payment but instead of 4 years I would go down to 2 Also I would owe less on it just in case something hapend.

 

Also wondering if I would regret in 4 years selling it when the price of my 14 would prolly pull way more than an older body style and I just made the decision to be paranoid.

 

I like the body styles of both.

 

Going from the eco 5.3 to the old 6.2L would actually be a descent bump in power. Especially since my truck has 5.3L with 3.08 and this truck is a 6.2L with 3.73.

 

Just wondering if the extra power would keep me happy from the lack of techknoledgy.

If you're truly worried you probably shouldn't be looking at another truck that's almost 30k.

There is the option of running E85 for 380Hp in the 14. you can run regular gas in the 14, If the 11 is a 4 speed auto it will feel like less power. Id stick with the 14.

The 11 would be a 6 speeds. 6.2 only comes with it

Just remember you will want to be running premium (91 or 93) octane in that 6.2L.

Ya if you're that worried I don't think buying a $27K truck would be any better, unless you know you'll have a job until it's paid off. If you really think about it, once more people get into the electric cars the coal business may get better. I know that wouldn't be any time real soon, but something to think about.

I owned a 2011 6.2 with the 3.73 and agree, it was a beast. Certainly a power bump from the 5.3.

To the op. Unless you were hammering down from stoplight to stoplight or towing a lot, not thinking you are going to see a huge gain in power.

A couple of small mods to your current trucks power & refinance it at the lowest APR may help with the payments. That may be cheaper than

actually trading?
