6.2l differences...

You can't tell even looking at the engine since they have the same block and all. The only difference is the 6.2 has a bigger stroke, everything else that I know of is the same.

Not trying to be that "guy" but the increased displacement of the 6.2 L86 comes from a larger bore over the 5.3 L83 (stroke is the same). :)

Probably a dumb question but without badges how can you tell a 5.3 from a 6.2 rolling down the road?

Easy, if the driver is not looking at you he probably has the 6.2L otherwise he's wondering if you do :happysad:

Tailpipe is larger on 6.2.

Tailpipe is larger on 6.2.

Yea, are yall SURE the exhausts are the same? Cos I could swear the 6.2s have a larger tailpipe. I guess if you have the chrome tip you may not notice, but the ones that don't from the pics I've seen here, and from the ones I've seen at dealerships its maybe .5-1" larger in diameter.

Not a huge difference, only way I can tell usually is looking at the sticker. Also I think there's a stickesr on the airbox that tells you displacement.

Early 6,2's had a 3" exhaust, but since at least April '14, they've all received 3.5". I think the 5.3 is and has always been 3".
