My MPG sucks first 1k miles

I have around 800 miles on the truck. Almost all my driving is city driving 4 miles to work, 4 miles home for lunch, 4 miles back and 4 miles home. About once a week I take 50 mile interstate driving trip. I am in Florida, it has been in the mid 70's for the past 10 days.

I am averaging. 12.5 on the current tank. 15 MPG lifetime and I think the only reason it is that high is because it was a dealer swap that had to be driven here.
Could this just be because I don't drive that much? My truck has zero mods...right now

No doubt the 4 mile city trips are a big contributor. Not having any miles on likely also has an impact.

funny, I have the same city commute (about 4 miles) and I also drive back home sometimes during my lunch break. I get 14.5 to 15 mpg. Which is better than some F150 crew cabs I had that only got 12 to 13mpg same commute.

I got 21mpg on an all highway trip. This was with under 1k miles on the truck. I've had the truck 3 months now and it just rolled over 2k miles. Lifetime mpg is 16 according to OnStar app.

I'm dealing with the same thing, very short commute to work so I average about 10.5 city. Frustrating as hell because i get about 19-20 or so on the highway. But the city is killing me. No idea where they get 16 city mpg from, but that's definitely not what I see. 5.3 All Terrain SLE 20" rims SRA stock tires. Everything stock.

remote start kills your mpg as well as idling at any lights. my commute is all city and i get about 12mpg average but can get up to 16-17 if i baby it. 6.2L

My MPG have been getting worse since picking the truck up. Anyone else notice that?

^I believe winter blend gas is out now so it can cause a drop in mpgs.

Short trips are bad for MPG. Doesn't let the motor warm up. And its even worse if its stop and go for 4 miles.

Feeling a little better about mine now. I was getting kind of ok numbers, but the last couple weeks have sucked. I'm hoping its a combo of winter gas and remote starting. It's 90% country driving, you'd thing I'd be getting at least better than city numbers. City is 13 l/100, was at 17.2 this morning. I've never seen the advertised 9 l/100 hwy except when going downhill.

My mileage is between 13 & 14 MPG with a 7 mile work commute and sometimes I have the truck idling as a remote start with a 1000 miles on the OD. Taking the truck on a long trip and I'm anxious to see how it does on the long trip.

Well I am averaging 16/18 with mud tires and a level kit. So far the lifetime is at 16 mpg. Before my tires and level kits I was running 18/22 mpg. 70ab98acfae05d52086ebd175d79d12d.jpg4509b82df0df52c8bc1b109cfdf0f473.jpg

I'm averaging 15.5mpg, 10 miles back and forth to work each way. 18-19mpg on long highway trips. I've got the 6.2L, level and AT tires tho... I hope your mileage improves.

I'm in the 15-16 mpg for the 10000 miles I've had it. Almost all "city" with some city freeway stuff in there, which can go from the Tijuana Grand Prix to stop n go.
