I have a work truck front bumper on mine and even that has gotten a lot of chips in it in only 1 year.  I can pressure wash them though without it flaking off.

I'm fairly lucky.  I bought my truck with 29K one owner.  Originated in Canada.  It has the bug and rock laminate on it, which I have been told is not that cheap,  750-1K.  The front end is spotless.  Something to consider if you have your paint redone. 

 

I had full intentions of getting my hood and fenders wrapped in 3M but I drove 6hours to bring my truck back when I bought it and when I got home I already had a decent chip on the front of the hood so I didn't end up getting it done as its significantly more than 1k here to get a full wrap done where I live.  They also recommend you wait at least a couple weeks before applying vinyl over new paint.

Just got this on Halloween. Bought online didn't realize that a 9 year old balanced the tires and put old style clamp on weights ruining the finish of the rims. Oh well excuse to buy cool ones.
