I just added mine on Friday and it does gets toasty., pgamboa helped me out on removing the air bag the rest was a piece of cake., the collision button obviously doesn't work but it does light up with the rest of steering wheel buttons, no biggie.

The 2 extra wires coming out of the new clock spring literally is ground and hot. If you can wire it to hot and ground the you'll be set.

The wire does go from X51L IP FUSE BLOCK LEFT to the X201 connector above the BCM. Connector X2 terminal 37 gets a (if I'm not mistaken [emoji851]) mouser 829-13849930-L and at X201 a Yazaki 7114-4110-02. Install it along with the new steering wheel airbag coil and you're good to go!

Oh and if you'd rather buy the terminated leads for the X51L side of things the part number is 19301761 comes in a pack of 5

Using this method should the wheel turn on no matter the temp outside or does it have to be below a certain temp? I installed the wire per this thread and it doesn't light up but it's 65 or more degrees out.

I just turned mine on and it's 90 degrees out. Does your turn on at all?

No light at all. I'll have to double check everything.

Okay, I decided to install the harness at least and check for power and ground. Got it all set up, running factory with the factory fuse. I have power and ground at the small 2 pin connector just like it's supposed to. All I have to do now is install my airbag coil and steering wheel and I'll be good to go! [emoji1417]

Two clips hold the fuse panel in, you have to hold them down and pull the panel outward.

There are 4 clips surrounding the connector. You'll have to undo the clips and move the CPA downward about 1/8 inch. It stops by itself to another set of stops, DO NOT go past those stops.

I chose to install thicker gauge wire because it's a battery positive circuit.

Any chance you have a few detailed pics of the X 203 connector, like the pin location circled. Just to make things as easy as possible. Thanks!

My wife just surprised me and bought me a heated wheel on ebay today.

You should just be able to flip the connector over like in the picture. And use the surrounding wires around the one over circled. Compare it to yours and you'll see where it needs to go

Just to clarify... Is this an X203 or an X201 connector?

Hey how did you make out? Did you fix your steering wheel?

I just got mine in the mail today. For those interested, there's a seller on eBay that has them for $150 shipped. They have the crash avoidance button too, but it doesn't bother me.

Clockspring is on the way and hoping I have the correct terminals to make my wire. Will keep posted.

You got to be only one who doesn't like it then. I've never heard of anyone not liking it
