Supercars are built for it. These trucks are not. And no matter how strong the "my choice, my responsibility" crowd claims to be, you can bet your butt their next of kin would sue the snot out of the automaker for allowing the truck to be driven beyond the speed rating of tires or the driveshaft after the driver smears themselves across the interstate when something lets go.

Looks good on paper but people still murder that wasn't an accident even though they know it's a chance they will spend the rest of their life in prison. Also it's not just someone paying for their on actions, what about the innocent people that die because of someone else not caring. Not even a week ago in my town there was wreck and an innocent girl got killed and she was younger than me. Just like how I knew a girl a little younger than me about 10 years ago where a drunk driver ran a light and killed her while she was driving. I myself can deal with repercussion of my own actions but then I realized that some of the stuff I used to do could get other people hurt or killed and I couldn't live with myself.

Yet the people that you're talking about the murderer,drunk driver & so on are still alive and free to do as they please. If the punishment were to end their lives as they did to others then I think it would make more people stop & think before acting recklessly. Not saying it would stop it all but would decrease people doing before thinking.

Actually, that is not true. All motorcycles are governed at 300 kph (186 mph) worldwide. It is very difficult to defeat the speed controls, as they are built into the architecture of the OS of the bikes.

 

This is because European countries threatened even more draconian actions to slow them down-- several years ago.

So rather than 200m.p.h. they are governed to only a measly 186. I worked with a guy who got a 100m.p.h. over ticket on a rice rocket. the Camaro he thought he was "racing" was State Patrol cop in a 150 m.p.h. pursuit car. No governor on that Camaro.

Please. A Camaro with Z rated tires is not going to have a 98 mph limit.

I guess you've never heard of death penalty even though it could take years for your name to come up. I agree that some things need a harsher punishment, but I don't think that would solve the issues. Those people that don't seem to care about innocent lives are just simply selfish and think that nothing will happen to them so they're also in a box. Same could be said about people that text while driving. I thing about just putting laws out won't fix it because the person still needs to have the common sense to obey the law. If they're too selfish to not obey the laws at least with some sense then they won't do things before thinking. I used to do some real stupid sh*t before I respected driving. I didn't learn with tickets and it took having to get a CDL to respect driving. I still did some stupid things but not nearly as bad. I bet the people that think they will just face the consequences and still do what they want would stop if someone close to them died over somebody's stupidity or if they themselves killed someone. Hell if you were doing something stupid and ended up killing a pregnant woman then that 2 counts. All just because they think they needed to go 100 or thought it would be fun to race or whatever else.

I guess I'm ignorant in the laws. Yes I have heard of the death penalty & yet most die of old age before ever facing the punishment for their crime.

And the camaro didn't have S rated truck tires.....

That's a different product, but YAY! you can go faster than 186 mph. Even though you won't see it on your speedo. Please do it in your state not mine.

I don't get this whole, its my life I'll do what I want. What do you think about the teenager thats doing 115 on the interstate, loses control, and crashes into a car carrying a family and kills people? You'll be begging for the government agencies then, asking them to dole out millions so that future incidents like that won't happen.

 

Too many people are caught up in this, government is bad and holding me back. You need to think about the times the government is saving your ass from someone else. Case in point? Texting and driving. I hate the government as much as the next redneck, but at some point you have to find a happy medium when it comes to protecting your life from idiots who don't care about their own much less anyone else's.

We've probably all done some stupid things when we were in our late teens and early twenties. The human brain is supposed to be fully developed by age twenty-five, but obviously some never got the memo.
