I kind of like it, except for the ecoboost.

x2.

If you can afford that kind of truck, you don't care about fuel cost. Just imagine the monster Ford could have if they put that R&D money to a 5.0-based engine or the 6.2.

Better yet, use the money to bribe some congressmen into dismantling the EPA to solve this CAFE bullcrap once and for all.

I hate the design but ford did make a niche market damn near mainstream. It isnt just a basic lift, they did long travel. Hopefully the frame strength issue is completely solved.

Ya I can't really speak for all but it seemed like it wasn't really any pre-runner style trucks until The Raptor. I have nothing against it since it does what it's designed to do (which isn't doing big jumps as some people though, it's for high speed over dirt and sand). I just don't like how low the payload and tow capacity is, but I can understand because of the suspension. I'm not exactly into pre-runners since I would have to go 150 miles just to get to sand dunes and use it to it's full potential, but I still like them.

Yes. A basic lift does nothing for high speed over dirt. It just relocates the suspension and doesnt give yiu any more travel. If i went to the dunes or play in the desert i would either buy a raptor or dump heaps of money doing long travel on a gm pickup

You don't like "450 to 500 horsepower and more torque than the current V-8’s 434 lb-ft."?

Why not upgrade the current V8s then? Plus isn't those #s just because of the turbo? I'd take a naturally aspirated V8 over a turbo V6 any day, More aftermarket for mods.

For a toy that would be only used for fun this is the best of the best out of the factory. There are countless things to do out here in Arizona with a truck like this!

It would be a pump and dump situation though, I wouldn't want to own or care for the engine/tranny after 2-3 years of hard use!

My thoughts exactly. It's a fairly low volume vehicle, build a monster V8, gas guzzler tax be damned and it'll still sell like mad.

It looks BADA$$!

Does this mean 2016 GM trucks will have 10 speed transmission available since it was a joint venture between GM and Ford?

To me, the new raptor takes some of the styling cues from the first gen raptor, but the raptor grille didn't translate too well to the '15 front end.

Personally, Ford is taking their EcoBoost Technology a BIT Too Far; first they Neuter their Full Size SUVs and Shove EcoBoost V6s under the hood, then they Neuter the Rather Cool Looking Raptor with an Ecoboost V6, and they've also announced they are planning on making the 2016 Ford GT, and Suprise Suprise, they Dumped the V8 for a....You Guessed it, an ECOBOOST V6.
