2009 Silverado will not heat and Air Bag light

Last year I purchased my first Chevy. Its a 2009 Silverado Long Bed WT with the 4.3. Its been a great truck. It was. Now this truck has turned into a demon. I bought this truck in June of last year so it hasn't been a year yet and all of a sudden its turned against me. First the airbag light came on. had it scanned and it was the passenger seat sensor. no problem. changed it out and the light went off. now the light radomly comes on and goes off by itself. been off for 3 days now but I know its going to come back on. and it also has completely quit heating. the it used to be kinda slow to get warm in the cab but I just assumed it was normal on chevys. but now i could drive it for 3 hours and not even a drop of warm air comes out. the thermostat still reads at 210 like it always has. I just need some ideas. The two dealerships in my town have nasty reputations for ripping people off so I would like to fix it myself because I can't afford them. (both wanted $500 for the airbag sensor and $250 to install, I paid $79 for it when i went out of town on a trip and purchased from another dealer) any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you change the temperature from hot to cold or cold to hot you have no heat?

 

If so , the temperature (blend) door actuator is probably shot. Common and its not a cheap part, about $270 bucks. Has to be programmed as well.

With the airbag light you pretty much have to scan it but with the heat check to see if the heater core hoses that go into the cab are hot or cold, if hoses are hot possibly blend door actuator, if cold possible low antifreeze or air pocket in the line.

its not the door

 

it MAY be the actuator ,,,,this system is also controlled by a module and may have codes for an actuator,,,,

 

try the battery disconnect thing ,then turn key on engine off ,let the doors rehome them selves ,,,,if that doesnt work ,you need a scanner to watch door actuator data ,etc etc

 

have the SRS system scanned again

What was the SRS code ? " Mag light in vicinity" ?

 

Yes the fan blows the heated air ...... Fml

Was in my '09, don't remember the code, but the dealer told me not to keep the light near the bottoms of the seats. So, the fan blows cool air?
