Installed mine yesterday after an update ( IF YOU HAVE A MAC YOUR LIFE WILL SUCK!) and i only installed the 87 tune w/ firm shifts and so far i will say i noticed a difference quite a bit. i will be bumping up the shifts though because I dont think theyre hard enough. it doesnt just lump into gear anymore but i would like to feel the be firmer. I only installed the 87 tune because I had a full tank of 87. once thats gone it will be getting the 91 tune and hard shifts! I will keep you updated if anyone else would like to know.

side note: took it to my buddy whos a tech at a GM dealership and i will tell you that they cannot see that its been tuned. we looked at some snap shots before and after tuning it and it does NOT show up that the computer was reflashed even.

How do you get it on 93 tune? I've messed with it a bit tonight and cut out the V4 and put it on the firm shift. Seems to have more pep now and my aFe exhaust sounds way better. Does have a bit of back pressure now. Any way to change that? What else can I change to make it better?

93 tune is Diablo tune on device. Not sure about your exhaust as i have stock. Send a log to Lew im sure he can make it better.

I'm running the newest Diablo tune which includes the tuning for E85 and throttle boost at 7. Very pleased with the performance. I also have the hard shift installed which I think feels fine, not too harsh at all. What are you guys doing with the torque management setting? I've tried both on and off. Seems like I can get much more wheel spin with it off. Not that I'm gonna be hammering on my truck all the time but would it still be safer for the drive train long term to keep it on? I've only owned the truck for a few months so have not towed with these settings yet. That won't be til spring or summer when I get the boat out.

Keep us posted on what you figure out feels best for the shift firmness. I've tried both the firm and hard presets and didn't notice a lot of difference between the two and like you I seem to think they are not firm enough. I've not done much with manually adjusting the shift pressure for each gear shift yet.

I had a an electronic shift kit installed in a previous truck and if I set that at it's hard setting it was like snap your neck hard. I'm not looking for that much though.

Glad to hear confirmation that the dealership could not see it had been flashed.

im hoping to firm them up a bit more, dont want neck snapping but i want to feel it. hate that slush into gear feel.. I do LOVE the feel of the 91 tune as well. flashed that one in on friday and drove it both friday and saturday. if that tune is so good i can only imagine what a diablew tune can do!

I just started messing with mine a couple days ago. Had a tank of 87 so I installed 87 octane tune and upped shift firmness. It drives much better, goes when I want it to go with out the hesitation of the trans having a committee meeting on what to do. I took it on a 500 mile trip this weekend. When I got home last night decided to take the torqe management out and didn't notice a diff. Not too happy about that. Am gonna fill up with 93 in the next day or so and install the 93 octane tune. Hopefully that will make a noticeable power diff. Still concerned about lack of shift firmness though.

I so want a Diablo, but I'm still nervous about voiding 100k miles worth of warranty.

All you have to do is uninstall the tune before you go to the dealer , they don't know any difference

I'm just paranoid I guess.

I uninstalled mine all the time before going to the dealer no big deal

So everyone is worried about a tuner voiding their warranty on their $40k+ trucks including myself, but my question is has anyone ever had anything fail on their vehicle and not been able to cover it under warranty because of a tuner? I've seen a few people that know some people that know a guys neighbors mothers ex-husband got screwed but does anyone have any first hand experience? I'm paranoid about putting one on my truck just for the fat chance that something were to happen. But i've had tuners on previous vehicles and never had an issue as well as many friends using them also.

im going to pull my tunes before i go have my bcm flash done. i have had oil changes done and no issues. i pull my tunes anytime i go to the dealer. i really couldn't imagine gm denying a claim, in this day and age with social media like it is. especially something so hard to prove as a custom tune.

if you had something crazy like a 6" lift or super charger i could understand that, but not a simple handheld tuner you can buy at an auto parts store.
